Poor staff management, don't even know how to treat their guests. Every room has some issues like bathroom tap not properly working, flushing issues, lighting issues, hot water system problems etc. Even they started taking overhead charges such as parking charges Rs. 50/- per day, separate charges for driver to stay as Rs.150/- per day. Food like thalis they provided in their so-called canteen was tasteless even Bhandara or Langar is more tastier & better than that. My overall suggestion to all is that "Please it's far far better to take a hotel room rather to punish yourself and your family members by staying in Lodha Dharamshala of Ajmer". In short, "Beware of Lodha Dharamshala of Ajmer".

Visited this Dharmashala, as they provide stays to all the Jain community, at a very reasonable rate. But the only difference between the other's i've been to and this one is - the others give you a value of the stay. This dharmashala treats you in a way that they've done some favour on us by giving the rooms. The bathrooms are really filthy and unbearable. The curtains seemed shabby and were stinking. The locks of the doors were also unreliable. This is one of the stays where i've regret saving money on to.

I again happened to visit Ajmer and fortunately stayed in Lodha Dharam shala just to know if some thing got improved or not but "Dhaak ke teen Paat" Nothing was astonishing except the rates which are chargeable at the discretion of the person sitting at reception. The room can be charged for any price during festival time. At first instance receptionist will refuse and say "No" to your first request (if he is in Bad Mood). After continual request they will ask you to sit and start with the things not acceptable to you. like only A.C Room is available and charges are Rs.1500/- per night then gradually will come to your point. The Dharamshala is an old building and built about five-six decade back. Modifications have not been made as per customer's present need. You will have to note following things carefully if intend to stay there. 1. Take an spare Bad-sheet for your use as the sheet provided are not even rearranged and cleaned properly. 2. Cleaning of room is not proper as you have to remind several times to clean it. 3. You will have to carry your personal lock for the room. They don't provide. 4 There is No Room service so everything you will to make your own. 5 There is only a single teastal on the first floor who charges Rs.10/- and provide you luke warm water (Tasteless Tea). So go outside and get better tea. The Dharamshala is run by Shree Ummaid Abhay Dharamshala Trust and they are not much bothered about the hygienic issues because of its occupancy all the times. My suggestion is to stay in a Hotel which you can also get slightly higher price than that of Dharamshala. Most of the Dharamshalas have been converted to Hotels and lacking in "Sewa Bhaw". This property is undergoing renovation and they have made new rooms with really latest interior design and facilities. You will not find rooms at such a reasonable rate anywhere in Ajmer. There are old rooms starting at Rs 450 per night which are clean but not with modern amenities. The food quality needs to be improved with lots of options and should have options for Jain food also. The breakfast starts after 9:30 am which should be revised to 7:30 am. You can get only tea till 9:30am. I am sure this will very soon be a popular place to stay in Ajmer.

When I first entered the premises of Lodha Inn, I was quite surprised to see that it was unlike any other regular dharmshala (a religious Inn) you would visit in India. Not only is it affordable but it is also professionally maintained. It is located behind the Ajmer Fort and is close to the railway station, Soni ji ki nasiya temple and the lake. You can get both an AC and non-AC rooms. It is a very good option for large families looking for an inexpensive yet great stay in Ajmer.
