Yes it looks nice, yes its a Taj, yes the location/setting is nice. But this is where its stops and I dont even know where to begin with my list of negatives: -Freezing pool -Annoying drumming and fluting every tine you arrive at the hotel -you will struggle with an Uber as its so far out -restaurant is a joke, crazy prices, we tried to order several drinks and everything we wanted they did not have (Diet Coke-nope, fizzy water - nope - well we did get a bottle of Perrier but no fizzy in it whatsoever so god knows what it was, and they did not have a second bottle of it- the chosen mock tail - nope) so we got some freshly squeezed watermelon juice at something like 360 rupees for a tiny glass, per glass!! -And now wait for it: NO ALCOHOL - it is difficult in all of the area to get alcohol. We found a dodgy bar in Ajmer that would sell us a bottle to take away (the peg bar in the Bravia hotel- go to the hotel reception and ask for the bar), very nice staff - the restaurant looks like a piss take from a 1970 restaurant -my side plate was dirty- not so luxury! -breakfast was over 1000 rupee and it was very basic compared to some other hotels especially with this supposed standard and price range (eg compared to the Hilton in Jaipur!!). The dosa was nice though -the internet: forget it! We had 4 devices and on two of them we managed to log on and two not (it not ask to speak to their it butler - no joke, he was called that- and he can fix it. He works from 9am-9pm). But even if you manage to log in, dont expect any pages to load unless they are simple text pages The room. We had a supposed luxury whatever room. Turns out its a family room whit two bedrooms, and a balcony overlooking the staff break area including them spitting and coughing, listening to music, chatting all night and early morning and smoking. And door/windows closed or not, it made no difference whatsoever. The spa: another joke. They are supposed to be 5 star arent they? Well the spa was just so amateur!! The lady seemed to only just be from beauty college and her pressure was so inconsistent I just got annoyed. The the spa lacks any atmosphere at all!! No nice, relaxing music in the background or candles lit l or nice aroma smell. No, it was simply a makeshift desk by the entrance going to some back room with a massive cupboard, a dirty old chair and a massage bed (at least that I guess). Dont bother In fact, dont bother with this hotel at all its such a massive joke. The only good thing I can say about it is that it looks nice but when you get closer, not even that, and some of the staff were very nice. Theres a nice junge gentleman with a moustache (I think hes from Jaipur) who worked In the restaurant (sorry dint have the name) and theres Ashok with the lovely and trendy glasses. They were very nice and made our stay just a bit more acceptable! Oh and the food in the restaurant was nice as well

The visit at Gateway Pushkar, was an amazing experience. The swanky property is very well maintained, the staff is highly courteous and always go an extra mile to give exceptional service. The special dining arrangements and trekking activity arranged for us were awesome and I will definitely want to spend another vacation with Gateway, Pushkar.

The stay at the hotel will remain as picturesque. The royal treat one will receive by the staff as well as historical touch in the hotel structure will bring you feel great satisfaction. The stay is slightly costly and location is away from Ajmer.
