A Beach Symphony offered perfect relaxation at the end of a 3 week Indian tour. We were in Violin, a spacious and comfortable cottage with its own plunge pool, which was fabulous well used by the writer and very well maintained. The cottage is also different in that it featured an outdoor bathroom and shower which took a little getting use to initially but which was fine, although there were some small issues it seems with the solar system for hot water heating which meant hot water was not always available, but no big issue. The management team were always friendly and helpful, and the food very good and freshly prepared - the home made yogurt at breakfast was a joy! We loved strolling along the beach - which was very quiet in the mornings and swimming in the pool. The beach at sunset looks fantastic! One word of advice. As is common for Kerala licensing laws are complex. A Beach Symphony does not have a drinks license as such, as we were informed by our driver before we arrived. The staff on arrival also informed us of this but are more than willing to go to the local 'beer shop' to purchase wine or beer on your behalf, but obviously this needs to be organized in advance. Having been advised of the situation we purchased some wine and beer on route which we kept in the refrigerator in the room for our stay, which worked perfectly.

We had a wonderful stay. We could see the beach from our cottage and the cottage itself felt luxurious with its comfy bed, great air Con and piping hot water in the most beautifully designed bathroom. Deepu, Dominic, Manu and Bimu and all the other staff we met are dedicated to making your stay hassle free and are so warm and friendly in their approach. The food was always freshly cooked. I was worried about having to be held hostage to meal times but they wait until they have seen you and then start cooking so its fresh and delicious. The staff work hard to keep the gardens and the pool area beautiful. The pool is very special. A real oasis. We loved the very local vibe too - There's a great bar called cocomarari where everyone if friendly and accommodating. We happened to be there at Easter and there was a lot of activity on the beach which made it all the more beautiful for us. It really is a paradise and we were so grateful to unwind at the end of our trip in north India. the kerelan spirit abides here.Open. Friendly. Warm smiles. relaxed. We organised massages and a back water trip which i would recommend. Jan was a great communicator when I was booking the cottage which I was always reassuring and informative. everything we agreed to happened without any worries.

We stayed here as part of a wedding party and I have to say that we were well looked after, the food was fantastic and the accommodation is really good. What we didn't like is that the fences have been removed and some of the features in the garden have disappeared and we therefore didn't feel quite as relaxed as our previous visit. There was also a lack of timeliness when it came to meals. We had suggested and agreed a time but unless we were sat waiting at the table the staff didn't come with anything and even then we had to wait for our food so it seemed that the time you agree is the time you sit down and then they start to cook it for you. Anyway, other than these points it is still a wonderful location and a beautiful lodge.

In need of a warm shower, soft beds and a little bit of luxury after our travels, A Beach Symphony did not disappoint! From the moment the screen was pulled back from the road and Crystal met us we were in love! The four rooms are all very indiviual and lovingly done with a blend of relaxing indian charm and European detail sprinked by Jan and Crystal. The beds were comfortable, showers both inside and out, tea, coffee and water on tap (no plastic bottles which was lovely). The chef came and took our order for meals daily and was happy to go 'off piste' and counjured up some fabulous gourmet dishes! Other people have commented on the pool which will never be crystal blue as Jan has designed an amazing honed grey granite pool which was fantastic. Jan was working very hard to tone back the green colour but we felt it was clean and refreshing! The star of the show at A Beach Symphony was definatly Dominic who was like having our own private butler - he could not have done enough, was kind, friendly, polite, helpful and even styled us in our Sari's for our final nights dinner..thank you Dominic for making our holiday! Should not forget the amazing tuk tuk driver who chaufered us around and was a delight. Could not recommend this lovely oasis more highly!

We first stayed here in Dec 2016 and loved it, so we immediately rebooked for 5 nights for 2018. Jan arranged our itinerary from picking us up in Fort Kochi to transferring us to the airport at the end of our stay. The transport was good quality and lovely cars. As for the property, this time we stayed in Nagaswaram facing the beach. Last time we were here there had been a fence making the property separate from the public beach. Due to boundary issues, that fence is now gone so the view is clear all the way to front though we didnt experience any disturbance from the public beach which was far enough away and partly screened with planting. This place has lost nothing of its charm. The owners, management and staff cant do enough for you. The food and service is wholesome, tasty and well presented. Its very fresh and portions are generous. The pool area is lovely and where the sea might be too lively for all but the strongest swimmers, the pool is clean and inviting. There are sunloungers and umbrellas and no worries about being too busy as there are no outside guests coming in. We had 3 yoga sessions with Vimal, he is fantastic and we had met him on our previous visit. We left after 5 days feeling really relaxed and energised. Thanks to everyone who made our trip work so well.
