we were in alibaug for 3-4 days and initially only with friends so we went to a full on party place like kiratpur house and later on after a day our familes turned up so needed a decent place where it was good with friends and family both so we shifted to atithi farm house. though it is not a very awesome place but it is very quant and aloof. loved the home made piping hot food and the overall ambiance.

This is best place for a group or family. However if you are looking for luxury stay - AC rooms or say privacy for couple this may not be the place. the rooms are good and clean. Food/service is excellent. would definitely visit again

Booked my stay at Atithi Farm House (AFH) via a friend for 2 nights from 01 May - 03 May 2015. Thumbs up : 1. Excellent location - although it was the busiest long weekend of the year- we did not experience any of it .. yaayyyy - beach was 10 mins away walking distance from AFH - you could easily miss it - as it is a kaccha rasta (a little track between 2 properties which leads to a secluded part of the beach) 2. Room stay - clean, large and spacious with an A/C- can easily accommodate upto 6 persons - king size bed - accommodated us 2 ladies with 2 kids (4& 5 year old) - Bathroom - spacious - self- contained - English toilet - wash basin - shower facility - fitted with geyser - 24 hours hot water - we didn't need to use it much- as the weather was hot enough 3. Surrounding areas - hammocks tied across supari trees - were a welcome sight, spacious patio (common area) - with space for car parking and children to play (a note as shared by the owner intends to build up an area for the same) 4. No batchelors allowed - only families or women's group - which is a blessing in disguise - felt safe and had nothing to worry about - the staff were non-intrusive and were available whenever one called them - service with a smile which truly impressed me Cons : 1. Food - avoidable - quality was decent - nothing to rave about - have had better food - what is odd and this would be helpful if you are fish fan - the fish thali offered not only here but in all of Kashid - is only a fish curry (mostly prawns the smaller variety) - with rice, chappatis and a fried fish- surmai / bangda (no vegetable or soul kadi offered - which made me and my sis and bro-in law wonder - what's going on - truly- with a price tag of anywhere between INR 200 - 300 - it left us feeling shortchanged literally) 2. Although it is an MTDC rated hotel / farm house - we nwere not provided with any hand wash soap (mini Chandrika's or Hamam bars) at the wash basin, no face towel or a single towel, no toilet rolls - when we asked for one - we were informed by the lady that they do not offer any of these (this is a first for me) - Luckily, being an avid traveller, had carried all the necessary toiletries, so were good to go 3. Rates a little higher (since no breakfast included)- reckon since they are one of the few places to offer 4 A/C rooms, without asbestos roofs - they do also have non-A/C mid-range rooms - however, beware of places charging 600 - 800 INR per day / head - as most of them have asbestos roofs which can be a tad uncomfortable in summer, however no problem in the monsoons or cooler months Would I recommend you go there? Absolutely yes, I would love to go again, especially to enjoy the monsoons - they are a new property and still sorting themselves out, so I guess everyone deserves a second chance. Also, the owner (Vinay Kate) is adding 2 more floors, planning to tile up the property so you don't have to walk in the sand / mud (honestly, I loved it, but that is my personal opinion), car park, reception desk and play area for kids (did not hear him mention a plan for a pool - but who needs a pool when you have the biggest pool in the world just a few clicks away) We had a fun weekend albeit a hot and tiring one, the munchkins had a blast though!!

The food with the overnight stay costs justs Rs.950 per person and worth every penny..for sight seeing, you can go to any of the nearby beaches or just soak in the fresh air around you.. Mr.Sansare is a quiet but a very gracious host.. A must visit place...
