I happened to get here by coincidence, while crossing across Alibaug. Place is laid with tents with all the basic amenities, including bathrooms and double beds. The accommodation is comforting and quite inexpensive for the experience. The food here is the highlight. Your choice of food can be made available with adequate notice. However, the best part is it is home cooked and as tasty as possible. They provide you authentic taste of the region with the correct balance of slightly spicy and the variety of fish is fresh! Coconut trees laden spots to catch your snooze or idle away reading your favourite books. The beach is by far one of the cleanest and pretty much a stones's throw away from the tents. This part of Revdanda is yet unexplored, so you have a chance to enjoying the beach as a private one! All in all, a highly memorable experience and a place fixated on my travel list for repeat.

About 9 of us went to Revdanda Cottages a couple of months back, for an overnight stay. The approach was quite straightforward and the auto-rickshaw guy knew the place. We had to wait for about 30 minutes, since we had not made a prior booking and called on the same morning to confirm our arrival. We put up in a brick cottage. Rudimentary but adequate. Lights, fans, toilet, large mirror, sink with platform, 3 double beds etc. We were doing some hobby related experiments and had alot of space to fool around. Unfortunately the tented accommodation was not ready then. Lunch was served a bit late, since it was freshly brought from the managers residence. The food was fresh and tasty. A bit spicy too. Typical of that region. We sat outdoors and ate under a big umbrella. The beach experience was amazing. The beach is VERY VERY clean. It is a pleasure to just wade in the water for hours on end. Perfect for people who want to just get their feet wet without taking a swim.... The banana boat ride was fun and is a must do. You cant miss it. The jet ski is OK, since they don't allow you to ride alone. They also have an old dog, who faithfully follows you to the beach and keeps a watchful eye over you, till you are back. We came back by dusk and were surprised to see the beautifully lit coconut trees. Dinner was also home cooked Veg. food. The rice papads were excellent. Take care not to let mosquitoes into your cottage or tent by keeping the doors shut. The next morning we woke up quite early. Some of us had tea at the nearby market. And some waited till the manager organised for it. A morning trip to the Revdanda beach with a glass of tea is heavenly. Overall, good experience, especially the beach.
