Shaant Beach Resort is true to its name, a very peaceful property. Just 10 minutes away from the Mandwa Jetty, it is located right at the beach. Great food and service quality with a fantastic lawn, swimming pool and a party deck makes it a perfect destination for a family holiday. The owners - the Puro family and the entire staff is very warm and hospitable and took special care to ensure we had a pleasant stay! We enjoyed our time at the resort and would definitely recommend this property for those looking to enjoy a nice getaway.

As name suggests resort is Shaant and in front of Beach. Very beautifully maintained Garden. Perfect place for kids to play and swimming pool is beach facing. Sea waves sound can be clearly heard from resort at night. Morning and evening walk can be done in beach. (Beach is rocky, if you intend to play in sea then this is not ideal for those.) Food is good both veg and no veg Maharashtrain Taste. Ideal to go by own vehicle as Sasawane beach is located outskirts - its proper village and Alibaug is 12 km. Use GPS to reach resort. Carry additional requirements other than food as no shop or medical near by.

One line Summary: like name suggest its really SHAANT (Silent) resort, recommended for those who is looking for resort with very good and big natural garden adjacent to beach with some modern amenities like very big garden with lawn of approximately 4Acre, Swimming pool, nice cottage, Bone fire and Rain Dance #BestFamilyResort, #NarutalResortNearAlibaug, #AlibaugResort, #BookReading, #BookReadingAtDecentNaturalPlace, #EnjoyFamilyTime, #EnjoyWithKids This was my one of the family trip to Alibaug, on 2-3 Dec 2018. We were 4 adults and 4 kids, we had booked two cottages for our families, and Booking were done on phone number available on their website as well (9819945452) Kids enjoyed the open garden whole day and was not ready to enter the room. Most of the beach nearby Alibaug are not sport friendly, to play in Sand or Water, as the water is not clean like Goa/Ratnagiri but you can still enjoy. We had accompanied by 2-3 families, 1 boys group, and one Girls group on weekend. I dont know, why the resort management is not focusing on digital marketing, even after having such fantastic facilities in place. Location: Located at seashore around 18km north to Alibaug and 35km from Pen. Use GPS and you will be on right track. Roads in overall Konkan area are small in width and well averagely maintained, you will face bad patched in-between. Route: Mumbai/Pune -> Pen -> Vadkhal -> Poynad -> Awas (Sasawane) Very scenic route, you will pass thought small villages called PADA's in Marathi Vitthal Kamat's Restaurant near Vadkhal at PEN - Alibaug road, rest of the area has small hotels but not many in number. Facilities: 1) Well places, clean and separated cottages 2) Different size AC cottages with 2-3-4-5 adults occupancy 3) Well maintained Swimming pool with shower and changing room 4) Very big lush green garden with approximately 50 coconut trees covering cottages- sports provided by resort- Cricket kit, Badminton, Football 5) Well designed Gazebo area for private group party 6) Bone fire area (under development- management said it will be completed before Jan 2018) 7) Rain Dance area (under development- management said it will be completed before Jan 2018) 8) Duck and Gooses farm which kids enjoyed watching for longer time. 9) Huge private car parking in the resort 10) Cottages are placed in group of 3-4 separated very well, to enjoy as your group and other group programs will not disturb you. 11) Decent and well placed lighting and foot lamps all over the garden. 12) Room has queen size double bed, neat and clean, Wardrobe, AC, TV, Bathroom with Soap, Towel and Hot water, Inverter power backup, Tea table outside in Porch (very useful in rainy season) Service: 1) Staff was very friendly and cooperative. 2) This is natural resort not 3/5 star Hotel, so dont expect any room service. 3) Staff was flexible enough about food item and timing 4) Staff helps to use refrigerator for private drink/food 5) Staff helped us to prepare food for infant baby also, that was over and above the expectations. Food: 1) Food was fantastic both Veg and Non Veg. 2) Breakfast, Tea- Lunch- Snacks- Dinner was included in cottage package, we hasn't felt at all to get anything from outside including kids food. 3) Food is served in given time slots only, you can carry your food if wish to have afterwords. Not in room but tea table placed outside the cottages. For Kids: Cricket kit, Badminton, Duck and Goose farm, Fish Tank, Swimming Pool, Swings, Football. Payment: We paid some booking amount online just 2-3 days in advance and rest in cash while doing checkout. Some Tips: 1) Carry whatever additional items you want with you other than food. As this is beach resort, so no shop is nearby. (liquor is also not available) 2) Carry sufficient cash as no ATM is nearby. 3) If you want something extra, staff will help you to get it from outside, but you have convey it well in advance as delivery auto comes once or twice a day. 4) Cottage 'A1' is big (5-7 adults in two room) and best located, at end and adjacent to beach, Swimming pool and Gazebo, has very beautiful view from the room itself. 5) If going with friends prefer cottage D1-2 as its isolated on corner but lacking sea view. 6) If senior citizen then prefer cottages D1-2, dont have to steps to get in room. 7) Cottages B1-2-3-4 are located close to cafeteria 8) Carry music device with you as resort dont have big music system in place. 9) As its natural resort, expect some insect/ants nearby you particulate if you keep lights ON and Door open or seating exactly below the lamp pole in garden or keep spreading food items around youJ, No Mosquitoes. 10) Beach is ROCKY so be careful while playing there

Honest review as it goes. 1. Pristine location at Saswane village,Tal. Alibaug, just on the seashore. It comes at a distance of just about 6 km from Mandwa jetty if you are taking sea route from Gateway of India, Mumbai. Alibaug town is at a distance of about 22 km. An auto-rickshaw can drop you in 15/ 20 minutes from Mandwa jetty with a mere price of about INR. 250/-. You may take contact details of the driver as we did and call the same guy while checking out. Getting transport from hotel may be a big pain, specially if you are in a hurry while checking out. 2. Quite a big property developed with the touch of a traditional farm house. There are ample space for roaming around within, playing or simply relaxing. The whole area is well covered with varieties of greenery and well planned coconut plantations forming an excellent abode. There is ample play area with amenities for children; so spending quality time with your kids is inevitable while in here. They may even provide you badminton, cricket sets, etc. on demand; don't expect too much quality though. 3. Rooms are of cottage type and spread across the property and have varied positions from seashore. All rooms are equipped with A/C and attached individual bathroom/ toilet. Rooms are of different categories and prices vary based on the positions & amenities within. You'd get television set within the room with DTH connectivity. However, if you are fortunate enough, you'd get all the amenities, as above, in working condition. Our TV set was a false show and we got water in toilet after lot of deliberations. No hot water in our fate through provisions are there. 4. Food is of typical Maharashtrian style with both veg. & non-veg. platters available. Ingredients are as fresh as eggs & I liked the taste good; though individual tastes may vary. However, there is no option to order a la carte; whatever is out of the rack in a day's menu; you have to take it. But, if you are travelling in big group and form majority of the residents at a particular point of time, you can suggest the menu and they'd listen, if available. 5. A well maintained outdoor swimming pool is there with attached showering & changing room facility. You'd get towel while going to pool on demand. 6. They maintain a 24 hours' check-in/ check-out policy. So, you can enter & exit the property at virtually anytime in a day. Also, you have to opt for AP/ Full Board plan only while booking; reason being virtually nothing is available outside the hotel nearby. They'd, however, provide in room snacks, etc, from available options with additional charges. 7. Electricity & mobile networks are big pain. Electricity will come & go in short intervals throughout the day. Though they have generator facility, it's only meant for basic connections like lights, fans, etc; no A/C or Geyser on generator. I was having Vodafone & Reliance JIO with me, both ditched in terms of data connectivity. You should, however, get reasonable voice connectivity. 8. Hotel management & stuff are very courteous. You pay them a dime or two, they'd make your life easy with whatever best they could get available in such a remote place. E.g. order a couple of bottles of drinks in odd hours and you can think yourself as Aladdin with your Genie in front of you with his hands full of your wishes. 9. Some things to overlook for your better enjoyment while on board, but be sure to check the hygiene though; viz. quality of materials & daily needs provided in-room, variety of food menu, etc. Remember, you are amidst a typical village and be happy with what you get, keeping away hustle & bustle of your daily life. 10. It's on the seashore, so no problem in terms of vicinity. But the beach is of typical Konkani in nature i.e. rocky & turbulent; so never attempt to go in dark.
