We just finished a 3-night stay at Green Palm with Maria and her family and we had such a nice relaxing time. When planning our trip we knew we wanted to see the backwaters but weren't too keen on a houseboat trip so staying at Green Palm was ideal! Maria was extremely welcoming, always making us feel at home and also helping to organize any activities we might like to do. We did a walking tour with Thomas, a cooking class with Maria's mother and went for a paddle in the kayak, all of which we really enjoyed! We could have also done a motorboat trip and other things but we preferred to take the rest of the time to just relax. We had a great time overall! Also, just to mention, although there was flooding in August we really wouldn't have known it, except from speaking with the local family. So don't hesitate to visit this beautiful spot!

This is a great way to share with a family and gain an insight into life in the backwaters of Kerala. The family was most welcoming sharing their homes and providing delicious meals. In addition we were privileged to have Thomas escort us on a village walk introducing us to their way of life.

I had the most amazing 2 days at this homestay. The setting is perfect. You are on the backwaters and get a real feel for the stunning scenery and an insight into daily life. The food is amazing and the hospitality is second to none. The owners are so hospitable and generous with their time I wanted to stay longer!!! Highly recommend!!!!

We stayed two nights in Michael's house and loved it all, from meeting and talking to the family to the excellent home-cooked meals, the walks, the cooking lesson, the early morning canoe trip with Sangam round the canal, the walk with Thomas in the evening and just being in this peaceful environment in a rural community. It was a delightful experience. Our thanks to Michael, Anna and everyone in the family and those who made our stay.
