Located in very calm place. clean garden.. beach is just 1 KM away.. service is not bad.....Dont ask them to clean the pool, they will just put chlorine powder... one care taker for entire resort.. he will enjoy with the locals in the pool when the owner is not there...No Tv in rooms.. Limited food options...Dont believe on the photos posted here....

While the resort has a nice location, on a fairly clean beach, overall, it also leaves a lot to be desired for those who choose to stay there. Since the resort did not answer any of the emails that we sent directly to them, we booked using an email we received from the online booking system, that is linked to its website - ezeecloud. For all of those planning on staying here, avoid this service at all costs. When we arrived, we were told that there was no record of our prepaid reservation. Unlike others, who had this problem, the owners did not honor our confirmation and we had to pay again. Our room was small, semi-clean and not worth the price. We are still trying to get our credit card company to get a refund from the booking service, who now do not reply to our emails. Overall, there are much nicer places to stay in the area. We stayed only one night and that was too long.

We booked 4 rooms for 2 days online via website of the resort. After reaching the resort on 26th Dec 2013, we were told that the resort was not having any information about our booking. Actually the owner allotted our rooms to some other at high price. After threat of police, he gave us two different rooms. No TV in rooms, poor house keeping. Only one caretaker for whole resort. Location of the resort is nice. Never book this resort or you better take written confirmation of your bookings.

After some initial confusion regarding our driver's accommodation, Joseph and his team excelled themselves in this quirky resort (leopard bed sheets add a touch of Africa to this little part of India!) relaxing on the veranda not long after our first cuppa, I was shocked to see an emu wander past the back gate. Added to the playful dogs and little aviary, Joseph clearly has a passion of animals! The food was amazing value and the short walk to the beach and small pool ideal, very happy to recommend this to would be travellers.

We booked a cottage here based on reviews posted. In short I am glad we did. Location wise the place is few KM before Allepey. not on main road, so very peaceful all the time. Its better if you have your own car as for food and other things you'll need it. The place is somewhere between a hotel and a resort. Very nicely maintained. We have been given the wooden cottage at the entrance and it was fantastic. Got two rooms for 4 people. plenty of space and very different inside. Overall we liked the place to stay. Food was is a bit let down (it is good, just do not expect wonders) . There cook comes at fixed time and you are suppose to inform him beforehand, which did not work with us and we ended up eating out most of the times. There are good options, though again you need a car to roam as you can not walk. The owner, Mr Joseph is a great guy and took time to personally meet us even though he was occupied with a family function. His idea to take a shikara instead of houseboat as it can go to canals where bigger boat can not was both brilliant and money saving. Overall, good place but make sure you have a vehicle.
