We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Fantastic stay. The hotel is located right at the mall road and only about 200 meters from the Golden temple. Nice rooms, good service and good. Cheers. Highly recommended.

No Park / Greenery near City Park

What appeared on Site, the Hotel City PArk was located in a busy narrow lane , not a pleasing site .Traffic crawls right outside the Hotel. You see ugly dilapidated houses & buildings from Room Windows .Room given to us had ugly site which we got it changed .No running hot water ,only warm water flow !Further Mattressess of Bed would sink ,so had terrible time in having sleep .Only 2 half litre Mineral Water bottle provided in the Double Occupancy room and pay for extra ! Dental Kit and Cotton room sleepers are on demand and not provided in Room . Never experienced such miser thinking Management ? A small overnighter Strolley Bag for the Hotel staff took 15 minutes to deliver in our room at time of check in after reminders ! Breakfast had very limited choice . Stale Air inside the Hotel no freshner is used . Many Foreign Tourists lodged , don't know if the Hotel ensured adequate precautions in testing virus ? However for those who need to visit Golden Temple and sleep overnight ,its convenient from here. .Probably one get better deal and location in a hotel for the same price .
Perfect location for Golden Temple and as a base for walking around

Not a 5 star hotel but a good 3/4 star and a great base. If I was going to be critical, I would say that they need more seating for breakfast in the mornings. Most of the other big name hotels are quite a way out from the main attractions, so on the whole I was very happy with our choice. We also paid a little extra to have a suite, which was a very nice option. Would definitely use again if we ever go back to Amritsar.
Every Visit to the Hotel is an Elated Experience

Every Visit to the Hotel is an Elated Experience Every time I visit this hotel I feel elated and joyous. I have started visiting Amritsar more frequently to seek rest for the body, mind and soul taking break from metropolis of Delhi and praying for the wisdom to recognize when we get dangerously tired, maddened by chaotic traffic and exhausted by lifes demands; to the point where we cannot even hear His voice speaking to us. We all love visiting Amritsar for some scintillating experiences which include visit to the most sacred Golden Temple, the exquisite corridor surrounding the Golden Temple, the Wagah border retreat, savoring of mouth watering Amritsari kulcha and the other delicacies. But in addition to these attractions, I also look forward for some moments of silence and solitude to grow closer to myself, by paying attention to what is stirring inside the soul; choosing a time and place to get away from the usual life and finding avenues for spending at least some minutes in silence alone; choosing a physical position that will enable me to stay alert yet worshipful, and get connected to over self recognizing the interconnectedness of all objects, the whole world being a single organism, beyond medley of scattered colors which this planet offers in abundance; and which can be a better place to attain this state of body and the mind than inside the Golden Temple. At the same time, which can be a better hotel than the City Park which provides me opportunity for all what I need to do, vicinity to the Golden Temple, a home like food, delectable and typical Amritsari kulchas, a walk down the corridor which remains full of life all the 24 hours with number of devotees pouring in day and night. The recitations of shabads from inside the Harminder Saheb ji which are also displayed on the wide screens outside the sanctum sanctorum create a great impact on me. I feel enthralled every time I visit the place. And the credit goes to the City Park for enabling me to visit the Golden Temple many times in the day and particularly in the early morning quality hours between 3 am to 5 am for witnessing the mystical and so mesmerizing waking up and palki ceremony of our very sacred Guru Granth Saheb ji. If anybody is interested to enjoy the home like hospitality with discerning and caressing staff to look after them, City Park offers a great opportunity. Here at City Park I came across such hotel staff members who were proactive in ensuring homelike comfort to the guests. All shift security guards grew so friendly with us. They are always supportive and cheerful. Mr. Deepak is faster than we ever expect from any front office manager in responding to all our needs. My best wishes to the owners of the hotel for being blessed with such a good team. Dr. Rajesh Bhola Travel and Spiritual Writer & Columnist
