What's Good: Location
What needs to improve : rooms were small
Reason For Rating : The basic rooms are quite small in size. However the bathrooms were spacious. While booking the room it was not clear if breakfast is included or not. It was only after making the booking did we realise that breakfast is not included. The hotel displays the cost with breakfast but while booking through Yatra it is booked without the breakfast and this is how you cut down the cost.

Reason For Rating : For the visitors wanting to visit Golden Temple, the location is the best-just 100 m. food is excellent. The only thing which needs improvement is breakfast which is not well spread.

Reason For Rating : Cramped damp room, terribly smelly bathroom, rude receptionists.. no communication between reception and other departments.. we reached early and had to wait for our room, were sent to the restaurant for coffee by the receptionist. No staff at the restaurant, waited 45 minutes for someone to come there.. Makes sense to stay here only because of the proximity to the Golden temple, which is a huge advantage. Wish it were operated more professionally..

Hotel location is very good just few steps from hotel for the golden temple Darshan & rooms are with all the amenities & reception staff always ready to help you & room service also good & hotel renovation also going on to give more facility to customer. Food also they are giving as per our choice & taste & we love to go again this hotel.

Just that the location is very good of this hotel if you want to only visit the Golden Temple as it is half 10 steps from the Gurudwara. Rooms are very basic & ok. If planning to stay in this hotel, don't get much vakuables as lockers are not the in the room . I didn't lke the breakfast that was included in my package as not much options was available. . Mixed reviews for the staff as sime are good and some tend to cheat you if you are not careful in terms of bill settlements. . You can find small roadside food thelewala here but most good dhaba's are a bit far. . Like coming to stay here only for Gurudwara darshan.

earlier i used to stay in this hotel only boz it is near to golden temple and at economical price .also earlier rooms used to be very clean and service was too good.but this time i am disappointed as i felt there service has deteriorated and breakfast offered was also not very tasty .The rooms and bathroom lack proper ventilation .Also the manager who sits there in morning gives bad rooms to online booking people and if we ask him to change he says no room is there . In evening the other manager came who is much better in behaviour and i requested him to give a better room so he changed my room.

I unfortunately don't have anything nice to say about this hotel, and if you look at my other reviews this is uncommon for me. We booked this hotel for 2 nights whilst travelling on our trip of India. We arrived at the hotel 2 hours prior to check in arrival time so we didn't expect to get any room at that point but we wanted to leave our large rucksacks. When we arrived the man on reception immediately told me that I had booked from 10th to 12th and that I was a day late. This was not true and I showed the confirmation straight away. We had requested on our booking if possible a room with some sort of view as it was my birthday, he straight away said that we cannot have that request as we haven't paid for that type of room. Fair enough, but I did think if you are clued up on our request how have you "thought" the dates were wrong hmmmmm! We were taken to our room immediately which we appreciated. What we didn't appreciate was the room, it was small dark and dingy and had a very small window looking out at a wall. The room was dirty, the walls had marks all over and the paint was cracking off and there was barely any room to walk round the bed. We went down to the reception and asked what options we had to upgrade. Surprise surprise there was only the superior executive room left in the whole hotel for an additional 2500rs. As the room we were given was so bad we asked to be shown to that room. The SE room was bigger and had a view of the golden temple so we agreed to upgrade. We sat down and relaxed for 5 minutes before realising that the room was disgusting. The bed was made but the sheets were dirty, in the cupboard next to the fridge there was packets of opened crisps, the bathroom had empty sachets of opened shampoo around and the bin had rubbish in. We were appalled. As mentioned we checked in early, but if the room was not ready then we should have been asked to wait. We had to request the cleaners to come in which they did but gave it a quick once over. We read through our confirmation from hotels.com to look what we were entitled to and it stated there that our room (as per the photographs) should have had a room with a separate seating area which had not been given. We called down to enquire about this, to which we were told "that type of room doesn't exist as a deluxe room". I thought to check on the website and see if I could still book a room that night at the hotel just to see. Low and behold I could book a variety of rooms above the one we had booked, so basically the hotel had lied just to get more money out of us. As we had used the room already we went down to reception and told them that the next morning we would be taken back to our original room. They were not going to get any more money out of us. The breakfast was ok, again the restaurant was not clean though so I'm unsure what conditions the food was cooked in. The table cloths were dirty and had stains on from the previous day (we arrived when the restaurant opened that day so it wasn't from then). I did find a dead fly in my cereal too. The next morning when we changed rooms we were taken to one with a layout similar to the photographs we had seen and what was described on the website. The layout was fine, but again it was dirty and run down. Paint bubbling off the walls, and generally in a bad state of repair. The hotel looks alright from outside and reception, but Is deceiving. It needs some urgent repairs and re decoration if they want to continue to take guests. In addition to the bad state of the hotel, the staff are rude, inconsiderate and when they see European tourist just think of money!! There was no customer service here and I felt scammed!! Don't even waste your time on this place! The only people that were nice were the two young gentlemen who carried our bags, they always greeted us with a smile.

Literally the hotel is very near to the Temple entry from "Joda Ghar sahib" . If you are planning early morning darshan around 3-4 am and you are worrying about conveyance to reach, then you may find this place as a best option. Due to this advantage, you may overlook all factors of 4-5 Star hotels ambiance, amenities. Go for it
