Its a decent hotel in this town with good amenities and average price for the room.Nothing much to write about but just good.AC just works and TV just to pass time. The price is very less though. Overall not a bad choice

The best Hotel in anakapalle Town. Service and food quality was awesome. Staff was friendly and polite.it is located in the Heart of the Town, people who are traveling in and around anakapalle, Lankelapalem, Parawada, Atucthapuram area is convenient to stay in this hotel Overall i enjoyed the stay

The SR Residency is located in a quiet, wide street a couple of hundred metres back from the main thoroughfare. The Reception staff who look after the desk on the first floor are as efficient and cheerful as you could wish. I was given a warm welcome on arrival. I was assigned room 212. Difficulty in using the key to open the door was not a good omen, and although it remained rather 'hit and miss' as to whether I was able to get into the room on my first attempt, it wasn't a major issue. Once inside, howwever, things really looked up. Walls are freshly painted, the blankets are a rich orange-brown in colour and of good quality, and the bed itself is quite comfortable. There are two armchairs, a small table, really excellent heavy-duty curtains to keep out the morning light, a good size mirror, and excellent new-looking tiles on the floor. There is both a fan and a/c, and each works effectively. The quality of the reception from the television is fine, but I would advise asking a member of staff to show you how to turn the television on (it is via a knob at the back of the set). Alas, there were no channels in English offering a news service; so, no Al Jazeera or BBC World. And there is no delivery of a morning paper. If you are an English-speaker like me, you might feel rather cut off from the world while at this hotel. Perhaps most guests who stay at the hotel have little interest in news which is broadcast in English, so it probably won't be an issue for most guests. What a pity the qualites so evident in the bedroom are not to be found in the bathroom. Any water from the tap over the small basin went straight onto the floor, thanks to a broken pipe. The temperature of the water from the shower was never hot, just warm, and after two minutes slowed to a trickle. I gave up, and used water in the basin to wash. At least that meant the usual water all over the floor was reduced to just the basin area. Why do a number of mid-priced hotels fall down when it comes to the bathroom? Where are the government inspectors to require that these kinds of faults be dealt with, or the hotel face closure until repairs are carried out? That would get things improved - fast. On the same floor as Reception is a good restaurant serving tasty fresh food. Whilst the dishes I had were very good, it is surely bizarre that in a country with so much rice, the kitchen in this restaurant is unable to offer a bowl of plain steamed rice. Nor, it seems, can they prepare you a cup of tea (Chaai Marsala) in the evening. Fortunately there are no problems in getting tea wirth your breakfast. I was tempted to by-pass the over-zealous restaurant supervisor, and go straight to the kitchen to see if these items really weren't available. Both were listed in the menu. So, there are pluses and minuses at the SR Residency. Make the necessary improvements in the bathroom,and smarten up the restaurant offerings, and this would be a very good choice of hotel in Anakapalle. The tariff is modest.

The Hotel was booked for me by company. I was leaving for work in hurry. I told reception that I kept laundry in the room. There were 4 clothes. In the evening I asked for laundry. They gave 2 clothes. When I told there were 4 clothes. Reception told that there were 2 clothes only. The person whom they send to pick laundry was telling lie. They took no action against him. They attitude was as if I am telling lie. The clothes lost were top portion of track suit - while in colour and a baniyan..just worn once only - big boss make. So please be careful in staying in the hotel. They employee theives,
