The coastal town of Ankola, located in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka, is one of the most popular beach destinations in South India. In line with the Arabian Sea, it has many pristine beaches, such as Belekeri, Nadibag, Baskal Gudda, Shedikuli and Keli for the tourists to relax and refresh their senses. On their trip to Ankola, the tourists can relish Ishaad, a local breed of mangoes that is famous here. The practice of cashew harvesting is also popular among the masses here, and visitors can take home varieties of cashews.
