We stayed at BJL in May 2018. The one thing that stands out about this place is their warm service and five star hospitality. Every single person in this place is trained to provide seamless service with the warmth that almost makes it feel that you are visiting a family members house. Pushpendr ji and his wife are such great hosts. His courteous demeanour immediately puts one at ease. We had a great chat one afternoon when he took the time out to share some interesting jungle stories with us. Simran who is the naturalist at this place is so passionate about wildlife that it does not feel like he is doing his job when he takes you out at nature trails. He is as excited as you to see and experience wildlife which is enthusing. His knowledge on the birds was something we really enjoyed and learnt from. Thank you Pushpendr ji and Simran for making our stay such a memorable experience, going out of your way to ensure we get most number of safaris and maximise the chances of sighting tigers and most of all for such a warm, prompt and responsive staff. Our entire Bandhavgarh experience is enriched through such a comfortable stay and oh, how can I forget the yummy food. We are coming back very soon!!

We have just returned from our 2nd visit to the lodge, we stayed for 7 days this time. Yet again we could not fault a thing, the service we received was outstanding from the first emails to Radhika arranging our trip to the airport transfer home everything was perfect. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, our room was spotless, the food was amazing with many options at each sitting. We requested Ayaan again to accompany us on our 12 safaris and he excelled, we had 22 sightings of 5 different tigers with many laughs along the way. We had an amazing trip!!

Arrived after long drive from Khajuraho and started three days of complete attention by the staff! Located close to all park entrances. Food was tasty and accommodated our dietary needs. Clean and well kept room. Simray was our guide and driver. He could drive the bumpy roads and spot at the same time. Very knowledgeable. Adept at positioning the Jeep for best photos. Our stay here was highlight of our India trip! Highly recommend.

Arrived here from Kanha after staying at Kanha Jungle Lodge which is owned by the same family. Bandhavgarh Jungle lodge rooms were very tired with the shower area in particular very dated and feeling neglected. We were shown to our room by the naturalist and after unpacking we went to reception for tea to find that the drivers and guides in the park were on strike and we could only go in the park if we went in a parks vehicle with possibly maximum occupancy in each vehicle. We were very disappoint with this and went back to our room to discuss and decided that we wanted to leave as soon as possible and find an alternative lodge. Thankfully, with the help of James and Dimple from Kanha lodge we were able to talk to the owner and were offered alternative accommodation at Pench. (A long 7 hour drive but better than staying in a lodge which could not offer us good guiding). Dinner was very good that evening and we were well looked after by our naturist guide. The manager appeared to stay back most of the time and was not really interested in talking to us.

We came to Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge after a rapid-paced tour of several cities in Rajasthan and were so pleased to find our lodging at such a pleasant place. We were greeted by lodge staff not just on our initial arrival but each day on returning from Safari, usually with warm towels and a drink. Departures for cool morning safaris were met with blankets and hot water bottles for the open jeep ride to the park. The local naturalist was very knowledgeable, personable, and clearly communicated each day's schedule in advance. We did, in fact, see tigers during our 5 part-day safaris - as that seems to be the focus though there is lots of other wildlife to see. Honestly, we were as happy quietly watching the birds in a grassy area or watering hole as we were tracking alert calls and paw prints. Food at the lodge was tasty and plentiful. The menu was local / Indian, though there was plenty of variety and nothing too unusual for Western visitors. Drinks were always available. This is an informal jungle lodge, with guest cottages scattered about the property with an open veranda, dining area and porch, and rooftop patio available for relaxing. The lodge rooms were clean and comfortable. Our porch faced a sort of overgrown area adjacent to the property - but lodges 8 & 9 looked like they had more of a open view point. Our room was not air conditioned, but it was absolutely not an issue during our February visit - the room stayed pleasantly cool even as afternoon temperatures pushed into the upper 70s - and felt warmer in the sun. Hot water bottles were tucked in the beds when we returned after dinner to keep things comfortable on cool nights. Wifi was available at the dining room. Staff was always friendly and helpful, providing service that exceeded expectations for a "jungle lodge". Would definitely return if in the area again. Recommended.
