Stayed here with the family in May 2018. Prior to arrival, all requests were managed professionally and communicated in a timely manner. I was very impressed with their marketing staff. Car pickup and drop off at Jabalpur was very well managed and we had a great driver, Sachin, who drove us well and kept us entertained with interesting information thru the drive. The lodge itself is extremely well located, with the main Tala Gate being barely a 5 minute drive away...the property borders the Tala Zone. This is helpful given the early morning starts. The welcome committee at the lodge was great after the long Jabalpur drive and also post the hot safari drives...they were always present with a refreshing wet napkin and a cool drink, as soon as one got out the jeep. The rooms are treehouses (duh) and there are very few of them...we were in Palash, which was a short walk from the main lodge. It had a comfortable bed, adequate bathroom and a great terrace, which we wouldve used much more if it wasnt so hot. If I can complain about anything it would be the slightly wobbly floor (its a treehouse) and the moody air conditioner (it struggled to keep going in the 46C heat). The manager provided a WiFi hotspot, which we did use a bit, when we were in the room. The main lodge has a great upstairs bar where we spent lesser time than we wouldve liked. The restaurant is also based here...and the food is great, as others have reviewed...full 3-course meals. They bake all their bread and cakes in-house, which is awesome. The staff go the extra yard thru out and really make the place. Our guide Chaubeyji was ever present, even in the lodge post safari drives. The manager Ashish was also always available to ask how things were going and offer any advice. The remaining staff were also very efficient and friendly. They set up a special dinner for our daughters bday near the vegetable patch, which was a magical evening with the balloons and lanterns...it wont be forgotten soon. They even had candles on the cake...all with almost no notice. We stayed at the Taj on the last trip to Bgarh and found their safari arrangements to be wanting. The case was the opposite here with drives arranged in the key areas and a great naturalist, Chaubeyji, who kept us busy with bird spotting and plant identification, in between the numerous tiger sightings. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this location...I would be glad to re-visit. Although I also want to check out their sister property, Kings Lodge.

I was wondering how can a property have a consistent top rating. Curious and booked a two night stay here during peak summer season. Pre-arrival emails giving me details on the property and asking me to book safari in advance built the curiosity more. On landing at the property. Every staff we met on our way to the reception had a warm greeting smile. Then we were greeted by their head chef and manager in action Ashish. There was something unique about the welcoming schedule here. Conversations were made as though we were their family members. A quick run down of the property and things to do around. And then the highlight of the property the cottage itself. Very spacious with good maintenance, awesome privacy for every unit here. We get our own wifi dongle for social bugs. The private watch tower inside the property overlooking the water hole (even though it was dried up when we went) was a bliss. If the property was not good enough for us. The staffs were in a race to who takes care of the guests better. FnB improvised on their menu based on how we ate is a rare occurrence. Every time you walk in to the reception people were eager to ask if there was anything they can help us with. Babuji the in house naturist is some one my son loved interacting with. His morning nature walk to the edge of the forest and nearby village was informative.Every guest movement is shadowed by a well orchestrated team of staff without compromising on the privacy. Biggest highlight was our surprise hurricane light dinner organized for us in a hidden away bush. I rarely rate any property beyond 4. This one is a 6 out of 5 for me. Keep up the good work folks, we will definitely be back here soon.

Tree House Hideaway!!!! The best experience ever!!! This is a bit long review since I want to write my true experience as it is!!! So we were on a trip to kanha and Bandhavgarh and after kanha our next destination was bandhavgarh for which I had selected tree house Hideaway of pugdundee safaris based on the reviews in trip advisor. While booking I thought it's pretty expensive but let Me tell you each and every penny was worth it!!! We reached there on 13th May 2018 after traveling for like 5 hrs from kanha. The welcome which we received was beyond expectations. I had got a call day prior to find out what time we were reaching and very clear food requirements if any were also asked. I was told that they dont have room service but since we had two kids Traveling with me they assured if anything specific required they would arrange it. We were welcomed with refreshing Aam Panna. We were then given briefing about the resort by Ashish. They also gave us stainless steel bottles which were a a part of souvenir and could be used to fill water from their water cooler. This step to Conserve nature by reducing the use of plastic was really thoughtful. Lunch was a full salad to dessert meal. Each and every dish was made delicious and we loved it. The kulfi served was simply lip smacking. After this we were shown our rooms, mahua tree house and banyan tree house. The rooms are actually built on the tree and everything inside the room is made of wood and very tastefully done. Loved the balcony overlooking the jungle. The bed with the mosquito nets being taken care of was nice. The whole rustic design and ambience was mesmerizing. My kids saw their was no TV and it was a big shock to them and to me too since I was not aware about it, but trust me you won't miss the TV. Although ya my kids used the phone to keep themselves entertained, but we did not miss the idiot box at all. Coming to the Safari, we were accompanied by Chaubeyji and he made sure that we spot the tigers and other wild animals too. He is very knowledgeable and experienced person and makes an extra effort to go that extra mile to fulfill the purpose of coming to bandhavgarh. Even when on Safari the meals are taken care of, full fledged breakfast in the middle of jungle is something worth appreciating. Even during evening Safari they carry plenty of water and juice to keep hydrated. The team was so thoughtful that after the morning Safari since we came back in scorching sun they kept lemonade ready. Even after evening Safari they kept tea ready for us and hot chocolate for our kids (thanks for being so thoughtful and keeping the choice of kids in mind) One of the days they arranged a bush dinner and the ambience was just too good. In a quaint place with lots of lanterns around the atmosphere was really nice. Everyday the meals very delicious and my daughter specially loved it. Snacks, salad, main course, dessert everything was good. It was all under the guidance of their corporate chef Ms. Vijayalaxmi who was a Top four participant in Masterchef season 2. The property has only 5 rooms but the whole jungle / area has been very nicely kept. They also provide cycles for cycling inside the property, they have library if you want to read some books and bar too if you want to chill out. Mr Ashish and his full team takes full efforts to give you an experience of royal hospitality, even the day when we left early in the morning, full team was there to wave off goodbye. This experience has made me and my family promise to ourselves that if we want to explore wildlife it will be Pugdundee Safaris for sure. Three nights spent here were excellent and experience of a lifetime. We would be Coming back for sure to Tree House Hideaway and other Pugdundee properties. Once again thanks team tree house Hideaway for the royal hospitality!!! Keep up the good work.

We stayed for 3 days at the Treehouse and loved every minute of it. The staff goes out of its way to make you feel like a royal and is there to help one have a great experience. We had asked for the safaris to be arranged through Pungdundee safaris and they did a great job. We were there with our guide Mohan Joshi who managed to ensure multiple tiger sightings and a near kill of a deer as well. We shared the safaris with an Aussie couple and had a great time even when we were just waiting for a glimpse of the majestic beast. The food served at the hotel is great as well. The morning breakfast is packed to be had inside the park during the safari- a beautiful experience. The afternoon is usually a light lunch and dinner is an elaborate affair. perfect when one does two safaris in the day. The welcome drink after the safaris and the wet tissues are a god send after spending hours in the heat. They also arranged a candle light dinner for us at an isolated place in the resort which was heavenly. Having a candle light dinner in the middle of the jungle- amazing. They have only 5 Treehouses in all so the staff has all the time to attend to your needs. The treehouses even though, they have ACs can be a trifle hot in the extreme summer of Bandhavgarh but that is a small price for great tiger sightings. Do not leave any food items open in the tree house as the chances of bats attempting to eat them at night are high. It really is an amazing experience staying in this property and would definitely recommend it to all.
