Casa has a great location, well placed for visiting much of Bangalore. The rooms are large and airy, though it is the nature of the place that they may seem a little old fashioned. The bed was very comfortable and we also had a fridge and kettle. A particular strength was the staff who helped us with bus tickets and booking Ubers. Breakfast was plentiful and of a very good quality. The courtyard where we had breakfast was peaceful and seemed a million miles away from the frenetic is outside.

The best thing about Casa Cottage is its heritage-1915 built and lovingly maintained. All modern amenities are there, wi fi is fast and breakfast is excellent. It is located close to the most important touristy places and hence you save on transport as well. Do not go by some negative reviews. It is a great place to stay.

Casa Cottage has a wonderful courtyard with lots of outside furniture and very nice owners and staff. The bed was very comfortable, including the soft thin pillow (but that is a very personal preference). Breakfast was a bit minimal with the tiniest omelette we had been served in any place, but the coffee was first class.

We stayed here for a few nights on two different occasions, and I can recommend it to anyone who has to land in this deplorable city. It was once a garden oasis in India, but alas, it has been hit unforgivingly by the modern Indian treatment of poor planning, over development and frankly, disgraceful traffic congestion. Casa Cottage retains that quiet old style India atmosphere, which is why it is so treasured by visitors to Bangalore. The rooms vary considerably in layout. If certain aspects don't agree with you, ask for another room, as they are quite different. Only breakfast is served in-house, and it is unremarkable but sufficient. They can order in some reasonable food for dinner from a nearby restaurant at fare prices. You can also have a beer, and the management are useful in arranging taxi services. The one aspect I would mark them down on, is that these rooms are not cheap, by Indian standards. I would have expected more effort applied to upgrading the rooms to a higher standard. They are not unpleasant, but for the price one is paying, usually one would expect more attention placed on the general facilities of each room. I'm not speaking of anything specific, but more an overall updating of the rooms - demonstrating attention to finer style. I will say though, that the woman who lives on the right side of the location (as you face out from the main building) has a number of dogs who like to repeatedly bark through the night. If this is a problem for you, one of the rooms at the back or the other side would be kinder to your light sleeping ears. Having said that, those front rooms are quite pleasant as they have good sit-out verandahs, which is enjoyable.

It's a beautiful place to stay, and the staff are very friendly and helpful!! It is a great place to relax and use as a home base. I was there for a month and found that it was easy to get around to local amenities like banks, grocery stores and a few local shops. It was easy to get around to the bigger shopping areas and again, the staff were very helpful and accommodating of that.
