  • Chalukya restaurants awesome dosas

by Dhandhaniar on August 24, 2016

The restaurant has some very nice dosas. If you are from bbay and you like the bbay style dosas then this is the place to go. They also make it extra crisp if requested. Rest of the snacks are like any other good restaurant, nothing much to talk or complain about.

  • Old And Ignored

by HiteshPurohit on August 17, 2016

Located at the heart of city, it's obvious it might have paid back handsome returns to its owner so far! I am sure it would have been a hotspot during its earlier days, but I bet you it needs some huge revival now. Right from those tip begging culture from waiters to the age old furniture, Ill-maintained ACs, outdated ambience.....the management should get some tips from modern hospitality industry. Overall.....not satisfied

  • Good restaurant.

    by gaurang m on July 25, 2016

Tried their restaurant during my exam. Food is good in taste and was served well. It was crowdy that day may be due to exam center opposite to hotel. Have to share the table with two different guest one was being family hence felt a bit odd. Service is good but they didn't show any interest in giving the bill. I have to remind waiter nearly 4 times and no one was there to collect payment at desk.

  • hospitality of the staff

by dipakmehra on July 8, 2016

after a long time iwent back to hotel chalukya/ i think the hospitality of the staff is amazing! they r trained to remember the special needs of the guests.igot my extra pillows and glasses n hand towels withiut asking for it. they have stopped giving complimentary shaving items.bu toothbrushes, combs n soaps n shampoos n very large towel r still there. the veg restaurant still gives good north n south indian dishes n the best filter coffee.definitely a hotel to stay at.

  • Decaying property

by Enjoystour on July 6, 2016

Pros : - Location and that's it Cons : - Downright rude, indifferent staff specially on the front desk. Worst than many govt setups - Unhygienic rooms with cockroaches crawling in the rooms as well as bathrooms - Outdated, old run down fixtures and really a run down property - House keeping , room service expect you to tip them for sloppy service - Toilet seats, taps, showers are really ancient and in broken stage. In some other country such a hotel would have got banned by Public Health Dept. Stay if you really wish to understand how not to run a hotel and about customer insensitivity. Its past its pristine and requires a huge overhauling of people as well as place.

  • All rooms are good, same size. I prefer a room at the back, its silent.
