The resort's marketing positioning as a luxury yoga ashram of sorts is perfect for yogis who need their creature comforts. While not luxe, the resort's facilities are more than comfortable, and a hit with the crowd that want an authentic Indian yoga experience yet may not be able to cope at a full on ashram. I went during the off-peak season so the resort was very tranquil and quiet, and on 1 day I was the only guest in fact. Pity about the trackside location though, trains go by just about every hour. The resort attracts an international crowd, and solo travelers are encouraged to mingle with each other. Well actually I think this has something to do with Indian culture as well - single female travelers are seated with other guests at mealtimes. This worked out well as the other single female traveler and I got on well, however if we did not I can imagine meals would not have been fun. All the reviews here are gushingly positive and not much else needs to be said, so just a few of my own comments: -STAFF AND SERVICE: The staff to guest ratio is very high, and this does set the resort apart from others. The staff are mostly long-serving, and many live on the compound at the staff quarters with their families. Happy staff makes for good service, and this is a conscious effort by the resort management. - SOCIAL ENTERPRISE: The resort supports a local orphanage. I did visit the orphanage, and subsequently read up about the resort's management and how they believe in helping the community. Very impressed by this, and I absolutely do not mind paying the relatively high price the resort charges as I view it as my bit to help the local community. - YOGA: Standard light Hatha stretches and asanas, however you can ask for an Ashtanga session - the resort also has a fully equipped yoga room with many props. Some staff also join in the general yoga sessions as encouraged by the management, so you can see they are serious about embracing yoga as a part of life. - FOOD: Wonderful vegetarian, with produce largely from their own organic garden. This is important given that veggies in India are known to have a high level of chemicals and pesticides. - ROOMS: Most guests opt for the tent-style cottages spread about the garden compound, as they have a patio and also open-air bathrooms. I chose a poolside room however which had much less privacy, as traveling alone and not being too fond of creepy crawlies and an open-aired bathroom, I felt the poolside room close to the resort centre would suit me better. The poolside rooms have larger more spacious interiors. - LOCATION: Conveniently located about an hour's drive from the airport. Bengaluru airport is also one of India's nicer ones being newer than most. Overall I had a wonderful week at Shreya's, and will definitely return again - soon.

I had a weekend off during an August business trip to India. The weekend begins with a brief visit with the doctor to identify goals. This was so inspiring as we agreed upon a couple of goals and I signed up for daily yoga, a private yoga and meditation session. The food was so delicious and I didn't miss eating meat or sweets! The private Yoga session was a real WOW! I have been doing yoga for 20 years and realized I need to breathe more deeply as that will help my yoga. Love the holistic perspective that yoga, food, meditation and breathing all go together. thank you.

I came to relax ( a bit ) and halt what had become habits in my hectic schedules of work, business trips and children centric family life. The location is a small Oasis in the semi rural outskirts of Bangalore. I had a central garden view tented cottage, complete with private balcony and open sided bathroom. Pleasant and quiet except when the local trains pass. Food is vegetarian and the Chef balances well Indian traditional foods and western cuisines. Spa is great the massages can vary so stick to the person you like and specifically request them. Overall Yoga was the real deal the mixture of fabulous practice leaders and private sessions had me 50% more flexible than when I arrived (5 days) and just feeling great again. The staff and service were amazing in the relaxed Indian way! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to jump off the treadmill and do a luxury LV boot camp (self driven)- thank you Shreyas and team!

Great routine - yoga, meditation, pranayam with excellent instructors. Great oil-free and healthy food. Comfortable cottages - only 12 cottages on the property so, no overload or rush. Lots of trees and greenery. Good getaway - Rucha and team ensure a customized experience.

It is a wonderful Yoga Retreat Staff is courteous and ever ready to help. Yoga Instructors are again very helpful and knowledgeable. Environment is good . One gets to relax completely Food is vegetarian and without using too much of oil. They use generally products of their own farm. Massages are very good and relaxing. Everything is good, but I would recommend people serious in Yoga should to there otherwise just two night stay is enough to get a feel. Group Yoga should be planned separately for Senior Citizens.
