We (three families) visited the place last month.....it was a memorable stay ..... We had a pleasant stay at the resort....The rooms are very spacious..service is excellent....had a feeling of home away home..Food was very tasty....there is lot of open space and greenery ...we had a morning walk in the midst of mango and chicku trees.....there is lot of place for children to play ...It is a nice place to have a break in the busy Bangalore life..it is not very far from the city..you can enjoy the calm and quiet ambiance....want to go there again

8 friends (Bachelors trip) visited during 1st week of Nov 2017
Booking mode: Booked through known sources, transferred booking amount online
Location: This resort is located near the Kanva Dam, calm & nice place, close by to Bangalore Resort is at an serene & isolated location, you can walk down to the dam in early morning, will take you around 30-40 min. Also if you want to purchase drinks or any other eatables from outside, plan & purchase it in advance....
Other Activities : Table Tennis (table not great), Billiards (not maintained well), Swimming pool ( good enough for 5-6 ppl at max), little park for children

We were a group trying for resort around Bangalore. So, after searching the net , we decided to go for Kanva heritage resort near Ramnagaram. We had booked 3 deluxe rooms but upon arrival, we were given only 2 rooms. We tried our level best to get the 3rd room but in vain!! This so called "resort" is just an average resort which people could book if they want to go to the place where the cult blockbuster movie "Sholay" was shot. I will straightaway come to the pros & cons of this "resort". Pros: Lots of greenery. Cons: 1. They don't provide water in the "deluxe" rooms. There was just a water dispenser not even a "cooler" in the place which is a elevated stage where they serve the food. We has to pay them so that, they could get bottled water from a nearby outside shop. 2. The lunch we were provided was of very poor quality. We complained to them about the food & after some suggestions, we asked them to get us the food we wanted for the dinner. 3. Indoor sports: The table tennis was half squashed which could not be used for playing. Quite a bit a flies near the billiards table which was just next to the table tennis. We didn't try for the badminton outdoor court as there was water in the court. 4. The pool just couldn't be used as it is a mini pool just below the indoor sports arena. pretty bad... 5. The table where the TV was kept was in bad shape as was the dressing table. 6. The water coming from the shower was mediocre. 6. When we asked them for ice cream, they said that, it was out of stock!!! very disappointing.. 7. One of the deluxe rooms had an a/c while the other just didn't have it!!! Just don't understand... Short & sweet, please forget this so called "resort". It is a let off resort. Please think thrice & not even twice before selecting this "resort".. We left this "resort" with a disappointing end.but enjoyed the time as a group...

9 of us visited this 'resort', also called Kanva Heritage. Though not a homestay or a resort, this is an interesting place. It is a good break for Bangaloreans. Comfortable, but slightly higher priced. The rooms in the main building are really big, but only a couple of them have ACs. They are neat, clean and functional and the service is decent. The food is OK, and this 'resort' serves as a good base to visit Kanva Reservoir, Krishnagiri betta etc. They have a separate building that has a TT and Pool table. We did make full use of both. Lots of open and green spaces to play cricket. Go as a group, as you can enjoy games and other activities together. They don't serve liquor, but you can make your own arrangements, which they would happily facilitate in true Bangalore spirit.
