It was a pleasant surprise on a business visit. I had been given an accommodation here. This place is located in a very calm and clean residential area unlike the dirty areas of Bangalore. About the place. Managed very well. Staff is so cordial and cooperative. Cleanliness at its best. Detailing done so well. U get a complementary breakfast too. U can even go for a evening walk in a relatively unpolluted place. Amenities available- TV, Air Con, geyser, bathtub, fee wifi, complementary breakfast, Downside- snacks and dinner on the higher side.

Ok so to set the scene I go to India a lot for work and usually stay in an IBIS, cheap but very European. The Pommels SA are basically rooms that lead onto shared lounge and kitchen facilities on a number of floors and it can be found reasonably easily from the street (9th Main Street). Getting in was another matter at 7AM the entrance was not obvious and a kind passer by showed my the way in. Some kind of "this way to reception" sign would be nice. The room was bearable, it was not particularly clean and although the bedding did look clean the overall picture was not good. The bathroom was bad....and I have stayed in some bad places. The bath / hand shower was old and dirty, the floor of the bath was dirty and the plug hole rusted. There was mould on the tiles in the grout and around the sealant on the bath. The shower curtain was grimy. So, not conducive to taking a shower or bath, when I finally plucked up the courage to do so I turned on the hot and cold taps and........NOTHING. Well thank goodness it was the morning I was moving to the IBIS! The good points...well there is one. The young lad on reception was VERY helpful, called me a couple of Uber cabs when needed and was happy to show me the room and facilities, +1 to him. Sleep, was something I needed and that was something you will find hard here. The walls seem to be paper thin and all I heard all night was the pack of stray dogs howling at cars. Being next to a school I was awoken when I finally got to sleep by the dulcet tones of a school alarm bell followed by the singing from the kids, all at around 7:30! Also and finally, the hotel was far too far from my place of work 16.5k and hence travel was an hour or so. So in summary, don't think about it. The IBIS is 800 INR a night more, why would you go elsewhere?
