We went to the Ritz for their afternoon High Tea which was absolutely amazing! Great selection of sandwiches and pastries along with unlimited coffee/tea. Great service, Chandana and her colleague from lobby lounge took good care of us. Special mention to the security team, Milan kept us company while waiting for our taxi and another great guy took us around the hotel, showed us the rooftop bar and the Chinese restaurant. After the rich hi-tea we were really full and could not try the Chinese dishes, but we cannot wait to go back and enjoy the fantastic hospitality offered by the restaurant manager Ankita.

I stayed at the Ritz while on a work trip in Bangalore. Everything about the hotel was outstanding, especially my housekeeper, Sushil! I can't say enough good things about him. He was so kind and polite and attentive every single day I was there. I would go back to the Ritz solely for his unbeatable service. The staff at the restaurants and shops were also exceptional. Aside from amazing service the hotel room was large and clean. The hotel is complete with some of the best restaurants we ate at during our stay. We loved the breakfast provided in the morning and The Lantern for dim sum at night.

I stayed at The Ritz Carlton Bangalore on an official trip in December, 2017. This was my second visit to the hotel as I had previously stayed at this hotel in September as well. The Ritz Carlton, Bangalore is luxury personified and is truly amongst the best hotels in the country. I had a memorable and lovely stay at the hotel. The hotel has got very positive vibes primarily because it employs great staff who always greet you with a beautiful smile and are always willing to serve and help. The staff is very welcoming, courteous and deeply committed to delivering customer delight and you can feel it right from the moment when you check-in at their front desk. Special Thank You to Jamie Sanghera from the Guest Services team who presented a beautiful card and a bouquet of roses to my daughter who is a national level tennis player. With Jamie's wonderful wishes and her prayers, my daughter ended the year as India#5, South India#1 and Karnataka#1 in the year-end rankings. Jamie is a star and always greets you with a smile and is ever willing to help at any given moment. Kudos to Ritz Carlton management who are able to spot, hire and retain such a great talent!!! We truly cherish the fond memories provided by Jamie to me and my daughter. The hotel rooms are large, beautiful and kept spic and span and big kudos to the really very hard working house keeping staff. The rest rooms are also kept sparkling clean with all amenities. The breakfast spread is well thought out and the food is of exceptionally high quality and tingles your taste buds. The hotel has several restaurants that serve delectable dishes day in and day out. The hotel also provides excellent lounge facilities that serve freshly prepared dishes all day long. The hotel is located at a walking distance from Brigade road which is the shopping hub of Bangalore. The hotel is also located close to other attractions that are worth visiting in Bangalore such as Cubbon Park, Science Museum etc. The Ritz Carlton, Bangalore truly stands out because of the excellent management and the mentoring that their leadership provides to its staff which makes this hotel a truly great place to visit and stay. I would strongly recommend The Ritz Carlton, Bangalore to all travelers because of the great staff and service, excellent management and terrific food. Thank you, Team Ritz Carlton, Bangalore for making my stay a truly memorable one. Keep up the great work. You guys ROCK!!!

I stayed at the Bangalore Ritz Carlton for a week in February. The hotel has generally great staff, especially in food prep and the restaurant. The drawbacks centered on issues in the room that took way, way, way too much effort to resolve, and the solutions to the issues were so, so simple. To begin, the pre-arranged airport pickup was perfect; we were met on time by the RC airport agent. Check-in was ok, but it was complicated by having incorrect charges applied to my business credit card that we had to undo. I self-paid a suite upgrade, so I was assigned room 832 which was, at first sight, a pretty nice room, large, with park views. Room check-in was ok, but there were a lot of light switch protocols that I wish we'd have reviewed. For example, if at night you open the front door and all the lights are off, all of the lights go on, *all* of them, which is a problem when one person is trying to sleep. Additionally, with so many lights to control, it would be great if the light switches were labeled; it takes a lot of repeat attempts sometimes to operate the lights as you want to. We did have an extra refrigerator in the room for medications as requested and a case of bottled water was also provided for our stay which were great touches. The restaurant staff was very well prepared to deal with my partner's Celiac disease, and we met several chefs who were well versed in gluten-free cooking. The food and service were top-notch for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had an excellent, excellent dining experience all around. I also had a lovely surprise birthday breakfast which was very, very nice. Service was also excellent in the Club Room and the business center. Also memorable were the bellmen and the security staff who were always so friendly and fun to talk to whenever you came back to the hotel. My main complaint centers on communication with the front desk (or maintenance) whoever was fielding problem queries from guests. My room was cold in the morning and I tried to heat the room using the HVAC. When the heat didn't work, I assumed it was just "slow" starting up, but I didn't have time to wait around because I had to go to work. The lack of heat continued and on the third day I asked about getting the heat to work, and I also pointed out that a lamp couldn't be turned off without unplugging it, some automatic drapes in the bedroom didn't work, we had only one TV remote control (there were two TVs in the suite) and the mini-bar in the room with the hotel-supplied snacks and drinks was not cooling properly. I had at least two visits by engineers who worked to restore heat to the room (at least I thought that's why they were there). A trio of men in black suits appeared on the second repair attempt along with the engineers and their tools. I had to explain several times to several people that I couldn't get the heat to work. It wasn't until I reached out to the USA RC office to ask why I didn't have heat when I learned that hotel rooms in BLR do NOT have heat. OH!! The problem would have been easily solved if the staff understood my initial request and gave me the space heater on day two that they gave me on day four. It seemed like no one ever really understood the issue because even at checkout I was asked if my "HVAC blower was ever fixed," and the blower was never the problem. I also had to ask twice to get the lamp and shades fixed. Also to note in the room: there was a burn mark in the living room rug, maybe from a cigarette, and some of the furniture had torn/worn piping on the upholstery. I also thought that the shower water pressure was weak, but I never reported this. I did create a stir over my laundry bill, which I mistakenly thought would be partially included in the room rate. I was incorrect about that, but in view of my "no heat" complaints, the hotel was kind enough to remove the laundry charges of over $130, which was very nice of them. Additionally, we were left many nice hand-written notes wishing us a good stay, roses from the housekeeper, and small gifts from the staff (souvenirs of India) which were unexpected. Overall, I think that a small, inexpensive space heater would have made this a five-star stay.
