  • A terrible place

We went for our team outing and this place is one of the worst we have vistited till date. The place has nothing, bad room, bad food and terrible views. Please stay away. You will see constructions happening on two sides.

  • Nice team outing to Vana resorts

    by Bhanumathy V on

Vana resorts is located only 35 Kms from South Bangalore. Its in a nice green place where it is like a mini forest zone. We found through the website and decided to have our corporate team outing there. We pooled our cars and reached there by 9AM as confirmed by us wherein nice hot breakfast was waiting for us and so were the resorts team :-). We had a warm welcome and since we drove for over an hour, we were famished. The breakfast was extremely well done with hot vada, idli, yummy kara bath/Upma and kesari/chow chow bath. There was fruits, juice, cornflakes, bread and eggs for continental flavor! We just binged into it and then were ready to explore the property. The resorts team offered to take us for a jungle trek but we decided to play some team building games near the pool. While the pool could have been better maintained but it did not hamper our enthusiasm as the place was very neatly maintained. It was really beautiful and well developed around the place and we had a nice time playing near the pool. The staff helped us with accessories to have nice playtime. After an hour, we requested the staff of the resorts to take us for the jungle trek which was around a km. It was quiet wild and exciting and we reached a spot where there was adventure activities namely rope walking . This was a super treat as many of the team members opted to walk the rope by taking a safety belt and walking in the rope suspended in the air :-). It was almost a 500 mtr stretch with deep gorge underneath the rope.. But everything was so safe and the staff there were extremely helpful. We really enjoyed ourselves in this activity for an hour and then trekked back another half a kilometer to the place where lunch was served. Lunch was really homely and we were surprised by the quality of the dishes prepared whether veg or non veg. We had some hot pakodas, fry yums and gobi 65 for starters along with tomato soup followed by bindi pyaaza, mixed curry, gobi manchurian, dal fry, pulao, rice, rasam, curd, raita.. Also not to mention the salads variety including peanut sprouts, amazing sundal (white kabuli chana with coconut :-). We had gulab jamuns and ice creams for desert. After a nice sumptuous meal, we went back to pool area for some pictures and fun. We also enjoyed some indoor games like TT, carom, chess etc. Few used cricket gear and other outdoor games. As many of us stayed in different parts of city, we wanted to leave early. We requested the staff for a some early tea and they kindly served us few a nice hot tea. Post which we drove back happily with lot of nice memories from this place. Its a great family as well as business destination and anyone can enjoy here. Must explore place !!

  • Pathetic attitude of owner/senior management. This resort is a nightmare!

    by IHB_99 on

The only good thing about the resort is that it is spread over a large area. The good part ends there. The food was okay. The service is bad. The facilities are badly maintained. The table tennis table was in a half broken state. The pool was not clean and even after being asked to clean it, the water was still not clear. The casual and careless attitude of the owner upon complaining made matters worse. I have been to numerous resorts around Bangalore which are better and cheaper than this.

  • Place for a day out.

Good resort to go with family. For a day out this place you can visited. Best time to go: July-December. Great swimming pool, good sports equipment and decent space to move around. Both Veg and Non veg options are good in terms of food .

  • Good one for a weekend break

Good resort to go with family .. food can get better (3* for that)... They have everything.. children play area.. nature.. pool.. greenery.. in door .. rope activities. Nice and very helpful staff.. would give 5* for that.. Rooms are good. But may need a repaint. But its clean with all basic stuff. Choose a Heritage room. View outside is good.

  • Heritage room is better

  • It's not a resort by any means. Neither is it a place to stay. Every team there was regretting the stay.

  • If you want to go as a couple to just simply laze and do nothing, please go for the A/C cottages. NEVER EVER go in for the villas as of today. This is as of Aug 2014
