What needs to improve : the hotel needs to make sure that they clean the garbage dump that is next to the main parking area, right outside the property
Reason For Rating : The property was extremely gorgeous. Spacious and super clean rooms. The buffet spread across all the meals was quite widespread. The staff was extremely courteous and made sure we were well taken care off. It's a perfect property to escape from the city madness

This was my own fault: I just didn't check how close to Bharatpur's bird sanctuary this was. We did most of our trip by train, and so when we got to Chandra Mahal (by taxi), we realised that as it is more than half an hour's drive away, it wasn't ideal. The car and driver provided by the hotel was fine, but expensive. As we spent two days in the sanctuary, and this (rather than staying and relaxing by the pool at the hotel) was very much the point of being there, this did add to our costs a bit. We should have stayed in the lodge in the reserve itself, though I know it would have been much less luxurious. Having said that, I would like to thank the staff at the Haveli for leaping into action at very short notice to provide my husband with not only a birthday cake, but a bouguet of gladioli, for his birthday! Very kind of them, and a special memory from the trip.

A little off the beaten track but a relaxing place to stay. Beautiful gardens and characterful, well equipped rooms. Suites with private terrace are like having your own residence. Now has good WiFi and bar licence. Accommodates drivers if you are on a private tour. Highly recommended.

We arrived weary after a long drive and received a very warm welcome. Access to the hotel is through the local village which some might find alarming. However once inside the front door, its a very different ambience. We were the only there for one night and were the only guests, but we were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One member of staff (sorry ive lost the piece of paper with his name) kindly escorted us on a walk around the village where we were welcomed into the local school and introduced to the gentlemans family. Before preparing, the menu for supper was checked with us to ensure it was to our taste- it was delicious!! Next morning we were given a snack breakfast to take with us on our birding trip then on our return we were welcomed with a delicious breakfast! A lovely comfortable stay in such a beautiful building. Watch out for the monkeys!!!! My only suggestion would be hot water bottles at night and rugs for the birding trips?

This trip was to celebrate new year with our extended family... we reached to location after spending almost 3.5 hrs on road from Delhi, property is in village on Agra Jaipur highway. Entry was not so impressive but once we entered the property we had warm welcome from staff. Food was really good & staff was very cooperative through out our stay. Property is nicely made & maintained. Small Missing part was just from the maintainence & housekeeping, one of the fire extinguisher was not having pressure. On last night our room geyser stopped working, in morning once we complaint they offered to change but there was no point as we were supposed to check out same afternoon so we asked to send hot water bucket. To our surprise staff came with hot water but not in a bucket but in empty paint container. Over all property was impressive.

Its an amazing property, very well kept and maintained. Neat and clean bathrooms. Plus they give you personalised service. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Once you reach there you may feel disappointed with surroundings but once you enter inside, its a different experience altogether. Would recommend going in group. They have big garden where you can play outdoor activities. They arranged for bonfire also. The villagers esp kids greet you hello friend. Was really touched by hospitality of one such family who showed us their farmland and serve us with fresh chaach. Splendid breakfast!! We did give some suggestions on improving food taste for some paneer dishes though. But in all, a truly relaxing getaway!
