What's Good: Very bad service. No room service , very less staff, very bad food . after first day lunch we went to eat laxmi villas hotel next to the bagh. Property is nice but nothing else staff itself is not courteous. Kids also didn't like the food. Very bad experience

What's Good: The Bagh makes FITs feel unwelcome. It's primarily a group booking hotel. There's no room service because 'there's a group'. There's no A La carte service and we had to eat food that was apt for foreigners. We went out for lunch. The pool wasn't clean and one of us got injured since there was somis sharp object in the pool. Overall, not recommended.

Excellent, comfortable, warm and enjoyable. A great food, alart staff, nice room. Warm welcome and room service make more pleasant stay. Well maintained garden and walk ways. Swimming pool also clean and we'll maintained. Required to upgrade gym equipment. Wish you best future.

The rooms, the food and the staff were extremely good. Nothing was too much trouble. The gardens, with their numerous peacocks and other birds, were very nice. Some of the electricity in our room looked a little dangerous, but we survived. A new hotel is being built next door which may account for parts of The Bagh needing refreshing

The Bagh could be an amazing hotel, but when we stayed for 2 nights in February it was rather tired and neglected and full of contradictions. We stayed in room 104. The accommodation is in small blocks spread over large grounds with flat paths. (One of the blocks is for permanent residents.) At one time they must have been fantastic with large rooms and lots of faded grandeur. First the good ~ The rooms were huge with a very comfortable bed. There was plenty of space to store clothes, cases etc. and there was a tea/coffee tray. The swimming pool looked nice, but it was cold and wet when we were there so we didn't use it. There are signs to a sauna, but we failed to find it and none of the staff could tell us where it was! The coffee shop, steam room etc. were closed when we were there, which was disappointing. The staff were very nice, but lacked training, particularly in the dining room. There were lots of considerate touches though. On both nights 2 filled hot water bottles were left on the bed, and that was so welcome as the nights were cold. There is a full hairdryer. The bad ~ there is a general air of neglect. Outside furniture was very dirty and dusty and the rooms were dusty too. The blinds are kept down and are very dusty to handle. The bath in 104 is dangerous ~ both taps run hot water, and it was very hot, so be wary with children. The shower was weak and washing hair etc. was a challenge. The restaurant was disappointing so we went to a local restaurant the second night. Breakfast was underwhelming too ~ staff are eager to help but need training. For example, tea and coffee was produced at the end of breakfast and we were constantly asking for items which were missing. Staff seemed out of their depth and confused, but helpful. The grounds, with lots of peacocks, are rather lovely and work was going on to prepare them whilst we were there. If we had visited in good weather we may have felt differently, but we were left with the impression of somewhere that needed a lot of money and attention spent to bring it up to standard. One bonus though ~ our guide showed us a python curled up under a tin sheet near the front of the hotel ~ very exciting!

Beautiful property with an impressing garden and peacocks wandering around - it was magical. Staff was very welcoming and helpful and the room was very comfortable (especially the bed!). Definitely recommend this place.

The experience would have been great if all these things would not have happened: 1. An Average welcome at the property and a long wait of about 40 minutes to get the rooms ready. 2. Swimming pool was not clean, the surface being slippery and no one to clean the leaves and other tree debris from the pool. 3. The beds were pathetic and not well made. 4. Lizards all around and the worst part was one of them was inside the toilet and when staff was informed they tried to flush it out but could not. Eventually I had to get it out before using the toilet. 5. Food was average infact below the standard. 6. The staff serving the food served tea from the left side and ended up burning the arm of my co traveller. 7. The conditions of the sprawling gardens around the rooms is pathetic. No one bothers to clean the debris and keep it visually attractive. 8. MEDICINE KIT - when we tried to ask for medicine for fever, we could not find it in the medicine kit and had to drive to market at about 2300 hrs to find medicine. Lucky , we found and my co traveler had some relief after having it. 9. Mosquito's in the rooms. Overall I can say that it is an amazing property and the unprofessional staff and the degraded service standards have ruined it. Desperate need for staff training and the raising the service standards is the need of the hour.
