What's Good: A pleasant place located close to the park. The room was comfortable, clean and warm, seeing that it was very cold outside. The food was good and the staff was co-operative and prompt in service.

What's Good: While the hotel is good and clean, there was confusion regarding the checkout time. While our reservation indicated a check out time of 12, we were told to vacate the room at 11. Considering that the purpose of the trip was to view the bird sanctuary in the morning, it cut our plan short there. Also we told the staff that we had checked in an 7pm as against the normal time of 12pm but they were not very accommodating regarding the checkout time.

The good things about this hotel: - very near the entrance of the Keoladeo National Park - spacious room - nice and quiet garden - the hotel knows a very good guide for your visit to the NP The things that didn't work for us: - expensive buffet dinner and not good food - no option to order an a la card dinner. We manage to get some appetizers on our second night, just because we weren't hungry - breakfast buffet was not good. Food was reheated all morning - staff was not particular friendly or helpful (with the exception of our tour to the NP). I have mixed feeling when I think about this hotel. Bharatpur does not have much to offer regarding hotels or restaurants. If you are here for 1 night and only visit Keoladeo, you could stay here.

I was on all girls trip and couldn't ask for better place to be. Perfect location:- close to bird sanctuary and easily accessible. The place is clean, well maintained and serves great food. The owner: Teerathji is amazing person and always there for help. Thank you for great stay!

My mother and I stayed here for 1 night in order to visit Keoladeo National Park. It was the perfect location -very easy to walk to the park entrance. Our room was very nice and clean. There was a small room heater for the cold nights. We enjoyed the evening bonfire too -great to get tips from other travellers. The hotel is set back from the road so it's nice and quiet. The hotel offers a buffet dinner (this seemed to be the usual thing in the area from what we learned) which although a bit expensive, was convenient and tasty.

Our hearts sank a little when we saw the Birder's Inn for the first time after an awful drive from Jaipur. However once through the gates we could not have been happier. This is a lovely hotel. We were shown to a huge room with a painted ceiling and views out over the garden. Meals were excellent, and the hotel arranged a very good bird guide for us. Evening sitting round the fire in the courtyard were convivial and other birding guests made it an interesting stay.

We booked here for eight days so we could use the national park for birding. The hotel is just 200 metres from the fantastic park so perfectly situated. The hotel has small but nice grounds, in which to sit. The owner was very helpful, and we were able to book guides and go on trips just by asking at reception. The food was good quality, if a little spicy for me, but my husband liked it spicy, and so did many other guests. The staff were great too. At night a fire was lit in the grounds so we could sit outside and have a drink. The cold weather in January is worth bearing in mind, we had days of 20 degree temperatures, but nights of 3/4 degrees, a bit chilly. The hotel is not centrally heated, but each room has a electric radiator to keep the chill out. The cold weather only lasts a few weeks, so I can understand the fact that the need for heating in public rooms is felt not necessary, the fire in the grounds was a great alternative to a warm lounge.
