Amazing place for animal lovers located 2 hours south of Ahmedabad and 2 minutes away from Velavadar park entrance. Dinner is buffet type but still deliciously prepared with vegetables from the lodge's garden. Rooms are spacious, clean and have a beautiful outdoor shower. Don't miss when visiting Gujarat or on the way to Gir. Safaris were also top notch

We visited The blackbuck lodge for a weekend and the experience has been truly unforgettable. In the wildest of my dreams, i could not have thought of such luxury in the middle of nowhere. The drive from ahmedabad is beautiful and if the weather is by your side, nature lovers will find their heaven right here. The place is a hidden treasure that i discovered and i am glad i did. A few kms before you reach the lodge, we spotted blackbucks grazing in the vast lands. We entered the place to find a very luxurious spa cum resort. The cottages, located at a distance ensuring one's privacy are very tastefully done. The most exciting thing was the outdoor shower that brongs you close to nature. An experience that should not be missed at all. They have the rustic charm of the woods along with the kind of luxury that one could want for a relaxing holiday. The food came as a very pleasant surprise. The buffet was a lavish spread, laid out in style and the dining experience was one of its kind in the forests. The place is a wonderful retreat from the busy lives. The tranquility of the place would leave you longing for more time here. A must must visit place.

We spent two nights at the Blackbuck Lodge and were reluctant to leave! The lodges were outstanding and we couldn't tear ourselves away from the viewing verandah attached to our lodge. Service was outstanding and the hotel's naturalist was excellent. The only downside was that the food was average but that was only a minor concern.

This is an oasis with elegant Victorian African Safari Style. The lodge is way above the standard of most other hotels in western India, in terms of comfort, food, cuisine & style. It is tastefully decorated with great attention to details: table-wears, paintings, crystal bottles toiletries, sculptures, safari ornaments, well trained & professional staff etc. Garden is well maintained and lust, with a small lily lake adjacent to lounge, where you could enjoy a sun downer. Less than 15 minutes drive to Velavadar National Park in tip-top condition safari jeep for sighting of blackbuck, hyenas, Jungle cats and a few dozens of bird species. You can also watch the blackbuck at the comfort of you patio in real close up. Highly recommend to stay and relax for a few days.

This was the best of 6 lodges we stayed at during our 4-week India trip - and the most expensive. Excellent stopover an route from Ahmedabad and Gir NP. Our 'villa' was well laid out with lots of inspiration from Africa. The food was the best we had during our trip, and we were impressed with the chef who came out to talk with the guests. We did two safari drives and saw what we had come to see, i.e. the Blackbucks, Jungle Cat, Stribed Hyenas, and a wolf at a distance etc etc. Blackbucks would be watched from our veranda. Most enjoyable stay. The only big negative was that we only stayed for one night! Highly recommendable!
