  • European Cottages with Excellent Views

    by An1129 on

Highly recommended for Couples who want to enjoy quality time in peace.... Cottages are beautifully designed and built in European style...We stayed in Super Deluxe Cottage and it was awesome.... Entire Staff was very helpful and was on toes to help...Restaurant serves hot and delicious food...It was raining and all of our food was served promptly at our cottage...This is a beautiful designed property which will make you feel like you are in Europe (its cottage design and beautiful views)... Its worth to spend your time and money here...Just one correction, Google Maps shows 2 locations however Vresorts Monolith location was right location....have already requested hotel to get this corrected...Thanks to entire Aamod Monolith Team for making my holiday most memorable....

  • 4 stars for everything fantastic it is - 1 deducted for the below-average, overpriced food.

Summary: Monolith has everything going for it: incredible architecture, location, layout, space, views and greenery but a couple caveats - the food is not good and the decor needs some basic repair and renovation. The cottages are built on 3 levels, which is simply delightful especially on a wintry rainy day such as the night we stayed. The charm of a stone and wood structure cannot be understated, there is a rustic luxury appeal here at work. The multiple levels in your lodge work especially well if you have a family or friends. Cosy on a cold night and sprawling for a get-together with a large group, there is something for everyone. The green vine that cover some walls outside are an extra touch seldom seen in India. This is truly an international resort on the basis of the room layout and architecture alone - it just feels amazing. The views of the lake are stretching, and grounds spread out. There is a nice pool, spa (needs renovation) and even a cool watch tower to climb up. 3 things need serious improvement: 1. The Chinese food we ate at dinner was terrible. They charge 4-5-star prices for a worse than street Indian Chinese meal. 2. The area where breakfast is served is kind of falling apart (the food is okay however). It feels like a grand hall that is past its glory days. It needs a do-over. 2. The fittings and decor are showing their age. We got a musty sort of vibe upon entering our cottages initially. The electrical fittings need an immediate overhaul, so do the TV and bathroom fittings - they were probably top of the line 10 years ago, but they don't scream luxury any longer. Of course, this isn't about the rest - wood and stone constructions are always evergreen. However, even the wood in some places needs repair/replacement. If these 3 things could be worked upon, this would be just simply the perfect family/friends getaway for weekends (without a compromise on the smaller things that add up). If you aren't bothered by these things and intend to eat out every meal, then it already is perfect.

  • Best place for best time

    by Pulkit3662 on

The best view, solace time and superb hospitality. Swimming pool, wooden cottages, buffet food, bonfire , snooker and bollard table, spa etc etc. You ask for anything and you get everything. And lastly the beautiful bhimtal lake view.

  • Beautiful resort overlooking the Bhimtal Lake!

    by Freakyy_Traveller on

I went there with my team of 10. We had a really great time. We booked 2 luxury cottages and 2 premium rooms. Both of them were too good with ample space. Cottage had a seperate terrace which was unique and it's USP. It's a well maintained luxurious property as per mountain standards, overlooking the Bhimtal lake. The view from our room was great. We specifically loved the pool side party that we had at night with music arranged by the management. Food was little expensive but tasty. Good buffet breakfast with multiple options. Overall a wonderful stay. Will visit there again if get a chance. Do see the attached images for more details and hit Like if you found this review helpful.
