    Very Good!

    What's Good: Location

What needs to improve : Not as posh compared to Sayaji in Pune

Reason For Rating : Location is good. The day I stayed, there was no marriage function in the hotel and I could get good sleep. I got good offer from Yatra and so for the rent, place was a good bargain.

  • Good Experience

It was a good experience at Hotel Sayaji Bhopal, we took a family room and the room was very good in size and had two double beds, two toilets and two washrooms. The room and toilet was super clean and the front office staff was also very good. The food was very tasty, try mutton rogan josh.

I recently stayed at Sayaji Bhopal for 3 nights. Main stay was with a marriage party, but I also extended it by a night for personal work. I had 2 rooms here for my family, along with my in-laws, but I could also check other rooms since the marriage party had pretty much booked the entire place. To start with, I quite liked the location where this hotel is located. It is near Sair Sapata, a quiet place close to the lake, that leads to Van Vihar through a wooded road. I really liked taking leisurely morning walks here watching the chirping birds go about their morning routines. Once you enter the premises, there are marriage lawns/gardens on both the sides, and the rooms are located in front of them. It might get bit noisy when the marriage function or evening reception is on, but the rooms themselves are sufficiently noise proof to stop it from becoming a nuisance. I found rooms to be of decent size with all basic amenities that one would expect such as attached bathroom, a mini fridge, an AC, tea/coffee kit etc. The rooms and the surrounding area was sufficiently clean, and in fact that was one of the reason not to move out to any other hotel for my extended personal stay. Typically hotels aimed towards catering to marriage parties lack on overall cleanliness or a different level of hospitality needed for independent guests. Happy that Sayaji was different in this aspect. We had one issue though, WC in our first room wasnt flushing well. Same was the issue in another room that we shifted to. Although the management was prompt to check & tried to help, I wouldnt expect such a problem in not one, but two rooms. On the F&B side, we mainly had breakfast here, with lunch and dinner at the marriage function, which I believe was catered by the hotel too. Food was ok, not bad for sure, but lacking that wow factor, which I have experienced in their other properties like in Indore. Staff at their restaurants, reception, party lawns was courteous and ready to help always. For example, although they couldnt fix the WC problem Ive mentioned above, they genuinely tried, and were really professional throughout. At the end of the day thats precisely what one will remember! Overall, I would say we were happy with our stay and will recommend this place. They need a bit of upkeep on their rooms, but certainly a place to consider if youre in Bhopal esp. for marriage celebrations!

  • Dinner by poolside

Great feeling in a sound and scenic environment away from the city chaos, the best part apart from the room comforts is the dinner by the poolside which provides a perfect environment. Pool and gym facilities will be helpful for the fitness freaks.

  • Good food

Visited this hotel's restaurant (Sanchi) to visit my son's bday today. Had earlier experienced Sayaji Indore also. So the hotel has always stood up good when it comes to customer delight. The staff is courteous, ready to help and takes care of important things. The food is cooked well in spices which reflects to the city's taste. Ample parking space available and good ambience in the restaurant too, especially the pool side restaurant. They do take care of corporate relationships as well. Overall a great experience.
