I guess this hotel doesn't try because there is very little competition from other hotels in town! There seems to be quite a bit of confusion between the Sapna International and the Sapna Continental. We were above shops (in fact it looks like you're walking into a clothes shop) and opposite the Kamat Hotel. The room was very basic, no toiletries, no bottled water, no kettle, no safe. There was a fridge & TV. The bed was large and comfortable (a foam mattress). Wi fi was paid for (so we didn't use it). Hot water only available 6am-10am, shower was open, so bathroom floor soaked. there were a couple of power cuts, but they didn't last long. Breakfast was in a cafe across the street. You can buy bottled water from a stall in the side alley (go out of hotel, turn right & right again).

Pros: prime location, attractions ATMs shops restaurants nearby, parking lot Cons: reluctant and unfriendly staffs, untidy rooms, stinking, hard damp mattress and pillows, car honks, noisy AC, without battery remote, hot water supply only from 6am to 10am, veg food room service. Worst thing that happened to us was denial of room availability by hotel receptionists despite of our booking through MMT (make my trip) 6 months ago. They declared no room was vacant and tried to help us getting another room only if we request refund from MMT & book room at current rate. Later on, we found 90% rooms were unoccupied. They even claimed that MMT confirms client without confirming hotel side room availability!!.

I was on a two day visit to Bidar. Considering limited options as I read in internet and my plan to visit during the Christmas, I opted to book 5 months before in July. I booked for Hotel Sapna Continental but my voucher was automatically updated to Hotel Sapna International. To update that the location of both hotels are same and I could not find any existence of Hotel Sapna Continental. Although Google Maps shows Sapna Continental; upon reaching the place you can only see Hotel Sapna International. The owners/reception guys continue to say that both are their hotels but I guess their only intent was to fool customers. On call the owner said that he has stopped all online booking to Sapna Continental a few months back. So if anyone gets a voucher of Sapna Continental, please re check. Coming to the main review: Location: On the main road and very easy to locate in maps. Just above Kamat Hotel (not opposite as mentioned in address). Booking and Check-in: It was fairly easy via an only popular booking site. Couple of days before the check-in date, I called the hotel to re-confirm and over phone they confirmed my booking. However as I was around 4 hours late from the check-in time, I opted to inform them mid-way about my late arrival. Then they refused to have any booking and asked me to call their other hotel (sapana continental) with a fake number. Since I had a confirm booking voucher I opted to face them directly. Upon reaching the place I found two mid-age guy at the reception who denied any booking and even refused to acknowledge last day telephonic call. Upon showing call history, they backed off a little bit but continued to deny booking. They said that they did not have any information from the booking portal. However when insisted, I found that they received a mail from booking site on the day of booking itself (5 months earlier). Then they said that no rooms were vacant; however I could see that in their hotel management software 70% rooms were vacant. I kept on insisting and asked to talk directly to the booking portal then and there. At this point they said they can provide me a room in their other hotel (continental which I doubt exists at all) provided I ask for return from my booking site and pay them directly for my room. I said that since it is their hotel and I paid in advance; I don't need to cancel/ask for refund while they can simply put me in a room in a hotel. After around half an hour of tough stance; they finally gave me a room in the same hotel. What I figured out is that it was Christmas time and a gathering was also taking place nearby. Since bidar has limited options to stay; these guys often get people who opt to stay for a night and come late in the afternoon. These guys charge them whatever they wish to. They simply planned to do the same with me also. SO BE AWARE OF THIS CHEATING RECEPTION GUYS and DOUBLE CHECK YOUR PRIOR BOOKING BEFORE ARRIVAL. ROOM: Room was OK. Bed and linen was clean but a old one. Comfortable enough to have some sleep. AC was working in 24-25 degree and you actually need it to get some fresh air in to the room. Else a faint toilet smell prevailed. All furniture were OK but definitely need a through dusting and a polish. TV with cable channels were ok. Bathroom: Clean but no exhaust. Hot water only from 6am to 10am. Service: Nothing good to mention. After the horrible check-in; I only asked for a room-service for dinner once. The prices mentioned in menu are different from prices charged. They charge GST but does not provide any GST no. Again cheating. Also ask you to pre-pay your meal. Overall just enough to sleep in a place with limited options. Definitely not recommended unless it is your last option. Only couple of good points - 1. Has own parking space (big cars may not fit) with a watchman. 2. Centrally locacted - lot of ATM, Petrol pump, restaurants nearby.

Stayed here for 1 night as seriously struggled to find other options upon my arrival Place was clean, and not a bad stay but at 1350 per night it is a bit expensive hence the low rating Towels provided which was a nice touch My electricity shorted out during the night and I was left with no powet

Recently stayed at this place during my business tour. Property is average kind. Room size is good. Neat and clean corridor wash rooms . Sheets were not up to mark. Hot water not in tape. They don't have restaurant but in same building Kamth hotel is there so not an issue. No wifi. As very limited options in this city so one can opt for this place. Situation very good. Just near bus station and Gurdwara saheb.
