A fact worth mentioning about Bijapur is that it is blessed with splendid archaeological marvels. It is surrounded by a formidable fort that houses finest mosques of the region. This well-known city served as the capital of Adil Shahi dynasty and is far-famed for its ancient mosques, mausoleums and palaces.
