Decent stay....... We stayed in this homestay for one night while going to Jaipur from Jaisalmer. Very nice place to stay with family . comfortable and not costly too. Food in their Cafe is awesome. Love to come again. Gayatri hi and Rishabhji are very humble and have nice hospitality quality.

Thank you Gayatri and Rishab for our lovely stay. It was a pleasure to stay at Udai Niwas for 2 days from 16th September 2019. Completely agree with all the previous reviews; the place is squeaky clean with very very clean bathrooms, big rooms and the decor aesthetic with a touch of the past. With all modern amenities intact, the home exudes an old world charm. And with caring hosts like Gayatri and Rishab, you couldn't ask for more. A bright spot for all dog lovers' is Cookie, the adorable dachshund who is such a sweetheart. Their cafe 'Indra cafe' is one funky hotspot and with its decor, yummy food and the positive vibes,it is such a wonderful hangout. Rates are very reasonable (140 for a huge chicken grilled sandwich) We had a wonderful tour of the city along with Mr. Ballu, the auto rickshaw person Rishab had suggested. Ballu ji took us around the city, both new and old, with much patience regaling us with historical trivia. We had a lovely tour of the grand Fort and the guide Mr. Rajinder Singh, who was with us along with the 50 entrance ticket , was a fantastic guide who not only gave us the historical information but also took care that everyone had a fair share of the visit. But for his patience and care , it would not have been possible for us to take our 79 year old mom on the fort tour. All in all ,our Bikaner visit was wonderful and we intend to return once again in winters. With a wonderful location and an equally comfortable, clean stay we cannot think of any place other than Udai Niwas for any future Bikaner Visit.

I came here for lunch, with my Bikaner friends. It's a relatively new establishment. It's clean, welcoming - with outdoor places for evening eating. The food is really good. And the people who work here are really caring, attentive. It's a simple place - but it's better than most of the main tourist restaurants in Bikaner. I recommend the Tandoori Tikka Chicken Kebabs, with mint chutney and raita. Absolutely wonderful and unexpected.

We felt right away very much at ease in this beautiful guesthouse. Our hosts Gaytri and Rishab were so kind, attentive and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious a range of Indian and Western food. We also had homemade dinner once and because it was sooo tasty also on the following evening. It was one of the highlights of our Indian food experience. The hosts would sit with us and we had very interesting conversations during which we learned a lot about Indian culture, history and cooking. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the guesthouse is well situated. You can walk in about 15 minutes to Junagarh Fort. Also opposite there is a public park where you can relax, go running or have a yoga class. It's very quite and green (in August). Attached to the guesthouse is Cafe Indra where you can have snacks or something to drink, they have traditional drinks like lassi or fruit juices but also very interesting specialities which we did not find elsewhere. If we ever come back to Bikaner we would without any hesitation stay at Udai Niwas again. Thank you Gaytri and Rishab.
