Decent hotel to stay in medium budget range. Offers Free WiFi & complementary breakfast. The rooms are OK. The sleep quality of bed needs improvement. The beds are very soft. The staff is cordial and decent. The lobby is well designed. But the corridors can be better lit.

6 of us went to Heaven's park restaurant on 17th December for dinner. This was how it all started. We ordered 2 Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and Chicken 65 for starter. The timeliness of delivery was decent, but the soups served were tooo sweet. We literally had to add a teaspoon of soy and chilli sauce to compensate for the sweetness. Chicken 65 was well prepared. Thumbs up for that. Then came the main course. Upon constant prompting from the hotel staff we ordered "Veg Kadhai", "Dhaba Chicken" and "Chicken Tikka Masala" - the staff said that these were the best and would be delivered sooner than other dishes. Veg Kadhai was aweful.. literally tasted like a paste of onion and black-pepper with raw capsicum and onions. There wasn't a 3rd vegetable that we could locate in the dish. The non-vegetarian dishes weren't even edible. Though the gravy was fine, the chicken pieces weren't cooked - they were raw and so hard that we couldn't even break them easily with a spoon. So we called the hotel staff and complained. He apologized and 5 mins later came back with his manager who seem to be surprised to hear that such a thing could not happen. We kept telling the manager to get it replaced or atleast re-cooked and he kept saying that the food is well cooked. So I asked him to take a bite and taste it for himself. He then backed off and said "main abhi aaya" (i'll be back soon). 15 minutes past and no action. We were sitting with uncooked meals and no chapatis, waiting for someone to attend us. Then I saw the manager again and called him. He sent someone else, who didn't know about the situation and said that the manager had left for the day!!!!! So he went ahead and took our dishes - and came back 5 minutes later. Guess what... our food was warm but not cooked. No oven/gas tandoor/utensil and cook an uncooked chicken in 5 minutes. I asked the hotel staff to give us a feedback form and ofcourse, that too was never given to us. Overall, very very poor service and food.

I stayed with my family as a part of a large wedding party last week in this hotel. This small concern has the efficiency, service, courtesy of any chain hotel that I have stayed in in North America, Europe and other parts of India. As with any wedding, we had multiple different kinds of people with crazy demands, last minute requests and several contradictory orders flying around. Right from the management, to the front desk to the lowly cleaners were always on the mark, as efficient as possible while being courteous. The food is very good. The only thing that they need to work on is introducing variety in their breakfast spread. For the seasoned traveler, being in Indian heartland does not mean facing upto vada sambar 4 out 5 days. Overall for anyone who is visiting Bilaspur for work or family, do consider this hotel. Finally, the hotel is a still under construction so at places there are tables to be put in etc, which can be a hazard for a rambunctious child.

It is somewhere in the heart of town - and that is the USP. The hotel is nice and spacious. The guys at the reception are adequately courteous and efficient. The room is nice and spacious too. The food (room service) is nice and tasty. But beneath all these niceties there are problems. The toiletries are never replenished - you have to call to get the shampoo. One day you have a hand-towel, the next day it is missing. Same with the bath towel. The water is never hot enough, at any time of the day. The worst part is the noise - it looks like its a happening place (why I do not know) and every night there is a party. It is so loud that the bed shakes - and this goes on till almost midnight. I hear there are better places in the town - must check them out next time.
