I write this comment out of my spontaneous feelings ... this property is just Superb likewise it's staffs. We booked almost entire resort and enjoyed ultimate with food and cultural programme. The management is very helpful, courteous and cordial. This property will give u a feeling to stay in a village with all amenities. The cook must get a special applause from the visitors. The price of snacks .. and all are very reasonable. Anirban Mandal Visited on 28th December for 2 complete days!!

This is a nice place - built as duplex cottages made with bamboo and mud decor. Rooms are quite comfortable with air conditioning on both the floors. The ground floor is a living room with a double bed tucked in on one side - which us fine for children or bachelors. Food is tasty but a bit expensive and has to be ordered in advance. This place is far away from Santiniketan or Sreeniketan - so having a car is mandatory. The road covers a bit of khowai with sonajhuri trees which is very nice.

This lovely resort is around 10 Kms from Shantiniketan town. It is in between villages, next to paddy fields. The route from Shantiniketan to the resort is beautiful. One will see lot of ponds, green farmlands and beautiful skyline. There is also a big residential project coming up just opposite to this resort. Conveyance - You can hire a Toto (electric rickshaw) from Shantiniketan town. It should cost you between 150-200 Rs one side. Buses also ply in this route, but it plies every 2 hours. Cellphone connectivity - The reception in the resort is not great. In certain area you will get decent signal, but might not get it in your room. Accommodation - This resort has 9 duplex villas currently, So when you book a room, you actually book a villa. Its a beautiful hut/villa which actually almost mimics a good mud house in a village. Its made of mud mostly. Each villa has a hall, closet space and a big bathroom in the ground floor and big bedroom, balcony and a small bathroom in the first floor. It looks like a full functional house for a small family. Very thoughtfully furnished. In the hall, they have a bed made out of mud/clay with the necessary cushioning, LCD TV, 2 beth chairs, one table. Villa is well ventilated with lot of windows in both the floors. Ground and first floor is separated by wooden flooring. Even the staircase to first floor is wooden. Light fittings in the rooms are beautiful. I loved the sitting arrangement they have done in the first floor on the floor. Entrance of villa has a small space with place to sit like village houses. Each villa is decorated with unique and beautiful mud based painting just like typical village houses west bengal. Overall a very well thought villa. Room provisions - TV with setup box, charging points, electric kettle + green tea + sugar, toileteries Resort premises - They have an artificial lake just for fishing in the campus. They have provisions for bonfire, Carom board and a TT board. The area is quite big to just walk around and enjoy the green resort. Food - Since the resort is amidst villages, outside the resort there is no option to buy food. But they have a inhouse restaurant with great service and good food. Options are decent. They also give room service. Service - The entire staff is very courteous and gives great service. Cleanliness - Rooms and the resort premises both are very clean and you would see continuous effort going towards that. Overall we loved our stay in this resort. It is a beautiful place to just go relax and enjoy greenery, the village setup and the silence around.

I enjoyed the beautiful stay at Raktokorobi Resort in Shantiniketan in India. The Resort was fringed with ponds, mango trees, guava trees and birds, animals. The individual rooms were in the form of cottages. It was paradise at nature's midst. The food was awesome with bread, butter, aloo ka paratha in breakfast, posto bora, dal, katla fish curry in lunch and chicken curry chapati in dinner. We loved every bit of the stay. There was a common room where I played carrom with my elder son. The bayuls came in the morning and sang songs.

I opted to stay at Raktokorobi Karu Gram on my visit to Shantiniketan with my family. It was a wonderful experience all together. The huts with all modern amenities gave a typical rural mud hut experience . The food was too homely and tasty. The resort was very well maintained with lots of trees and plants all around you. Any one who loves serenity , nature, a little bit of rural touch can visit this place. The staffs were very courteous . They had arranged for tribal dance which was an awesome experience.
