Bordi is a coastal village in the Palghar district of Maharashtra near Dahanu. Its famous for chickoo and various products made of the same. We stayed at a resort called Hill Zill . The property is about 20 Min away from Gholvad station . The rooms were clean and good and the staff were good. The place is nice, has a pool and playing area. They also have a Small winery which makes wine out of chickoo. They had a local folk dance one night. But certain areas do need improvement like the cleaning of rooms and also the breakfast menu. The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis . There was also some sort of civil work going on. The breakfast menu is very limited and some of the dishes were not very good. They could certainly improve on these and make the place better . All in all would rate the place as 3.5 out of 5. Also i think its better to travel in your own vehicle as getting a public transport is not so easy.

The resort is good. The staff is friendly and warm. However the service leaves a lot to be desired. When coffee/tea was ordered in the room, it was delivered in styrofoam cups without even a tray, or spoons to stir the sugar, or even paper tissues!! There were just 2 persons at the restaurant serving a huge number of guests, and I am sure that there would have been just that many persons in the kitchen as well cooking food for all these guests. Hence even when we asked for coffee without sugar in the restaurant itself during breakfast, it took over 25 minutes to get that. There needs to be some sort of walk way in the chickoo orchard so people can walk. My mother tried to walk in the orchard, but fell down because there was no decent walk way. Clearly there needs to be far more that needs to be done in order to improve the standards of the resort vis-a-vis its pricing. It is very ideally located and has huge advantages. But these must be carefully worked upon in order to significantly enhance its image and quality.

Good clean rooms and a huge property. The food was very good and service too. There is a small winery as well where they make a local chickoo sparkling wine. The wine tasted good. The rooms stay was overpriced for its amenities. Otherwise a pleasant stay.

I visited this place along with 5 of my friends and we took two giant rooms for the 6 of us. Today most of the posh properties are either exclusively for stags or for families, this property is good enough for both. If you're going there on a budget please account for a longer travel time from Mumbai compared to when you'd be traveling via cab. We arrived about 11ish in the morning and as breakfast time was over so we ordered things from their menu which were all decent tasting and moderately priced. The rooms were a bit unclean but apt for the price they charge. Their pool is also vibrant and the water was clean. They had a folk dance/song presentation in evening and it suited well on the ambience. Overall a great experience for students or group of bachelors traveling on a budget, but I guess young couples would like it too.
