What's Good: The overall experience was excellent from the starting as you guys provided the best price and property, is very fine and maintained staff is friendly location is grate, stayed in different 5 star property's in Chandigarh but have to say The Lalit is the best in all manner food was grate with loving hospitality & will say a good location in Chandigarh.

This is a good hotel, the ambience is great and amenities are excellent. The hotel is about 3km from shopping mall. There is not much options for continental meals , generally the staff were not as responsive.

I am in room 339. Last night there was no hot water and there is only one hanger for clothes in my room. My interaction with the hotel has not been a good one. When I atried on the 5th due to some confusion I was not picked up at airport. I had gone out the airport and saw no one to pivk me up. I realised I had to take a taxi but had no cash. Trying to get back in through security proved a challenge. I was told to go to another ATM outside airoot bit when I got there, there was no money. I returned bit also phoned number on confirmation I had from the hotel. The response was the number does not exist. I opened the roaming on phone and went on Internet to get number. I contacted hotel and was not assisted as I was transferred from pillar to post. Unacceptable. I was cut off thrice and eventually gothe through to someone who assisted me. At least the called me back and organised me getting to hotel which I appreciate. When I got there I was told only twin bed was available and I could not change due to fully booked. We asked again and was told to wait a five minutes alas to say I'm still waiting. There was no hot water the morning I showered. This was rge same for my collegue. Your hotel is beutiful to be spoiled by incidents as this.

I had the audacity to book a room in The Lalit as against the common notion/wisdom of Taj Chandigarh on account of well known Brand and distance from Panjab University where our eminent guest had to attend a conference. on account of the below mentioned few incidences left with not so wonderful memories of The Lalit, Chandigarh: 1. Check In time of Hotel was 1400 , on the way to Chandigarh Our Guest called front desk and asked if arrangements could be made for keeping his documents/passport in a locker, answer was affirmative from other side. He came specially to the Hotel but came back with imprints of lack of hospitality on account of lady serving on your front desk. Although arrangements of locker were made but first impression was negative. My thoughts - Guest should have been told to come after 1400 hrs (nothing wrong in it) 2. During Check In our guest requested for a room facing Shivaliks, he was informed about non availability of any rooms on account of Lalit being fully booked (by captioned lady at frontdesk). On learning the same I personally called up Front desk to make similar request and got same answer however I requested to atleast note try to provide room on next day (if possible) and if room could not be arranged then atleast convey the same to our Guest so that it gives him a sense that the Hotel Cared. 3. On day of check out in comedy of errors, 4 staff members/helpers escorted our Guest for checkout without bothering to keep his belongings/bag (there was only one Bag) in the car and the funniest part was no one from Front Desk or any other department even bothered to inform him. Our guest had come half way from Amritsar to collect the same. Our guest got very annoyed and threaten to file a complaint but Lalit seems to a too big brand to get affected by the same. My Thoughts - Staff should be prompt and attentive enough to spot an unidentified bag that too in Hotel lobby. Atleast show it to customer that goof up has happened and we are sorry about it. PS: Word Our Guest has been used as Lalit did not give me any reason to address him as YOUR GUEST. Trust you understand my concern.

Went to the coffee shop for their very popular Sunday brunch.. We are the early birds as we had a long journey ahead.. The restaurant was empty and finding seated was no problem.. The did layout was amazing.. They had every kind of food.. From chat, indian continental and chinese.. The flavour and taste was good except for the prawns which are raw and had to be returned.. No the bad part.. There was nobody to come and explain you the buffet details.. Service providers seemed very untrained or indifferent.. You struggled to get service for items that needed to be served on the table.. Fresh lime took 20 minutes and three reminders.. Charging your credit card another 15 minutes.. Ask this when you requested them that you needed to hurry.. These problems were explained to the Restaurant Manager in person.. Anyway hope they look into these issues.. Keep some place for the desserts..

the hotel is really good, the interiors and rooms are well furnished and maintained. the facilities offered are very comfortable. the staff is cooperative and courteous. it was a memorable and adorable stay at The LaLiT.
