Chaukori hill station is located in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Situated at an elevation of 2010 m above sea level, this place offers magnificent views of the great Himalayan peaks. Chaukori is famed for its tea gardens and religious centres. The pollution free air of the place and its tranquil atmosphere make it ideal for spending vacations. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Chaukori is often thronged by urban-tired souls for rejuvenating themselves. The place is well-connected to different cities of the state, which makes it easily accessible by tourists.
Though tea gardens are the prominent Chaukori attractions, travellers can pay a visit to the ancient temple at Gangolighat. Situated at a distance of 35 km from Chaukori, it is a good place to spend some time amid sacred environment.
