    We stayed for couple of days in hyatt. Their staffs cared us a lot. Manik who we met in the front office arranged everything for our stay. The hotel was awesome. Some south indians foods has to served in buffet. And water should be kept in all dine table before the serve the meal. Everything else is awesome

    With a view to accommodate my newly wed daughter and son-in-law in a top-class centrally located hotel, I had booked them from 18th Nov, 2016 evening to 23rd Nov, 2016 morning. While the hotel staff strived to provide hospitality and convenience, the ambience is a bit impersonal. The floor boy who conducted us to the room did not bother to explain the conveniences and facilities within the room leaving us to explore and discover. Within minutes of checking into the room, we were received by cockroaches about which we intimated to the house keeping. No one responded. When the guests experienced it again the second day, they had to forcefully lodge a complaint followed by pest control spraying in the presence of the guests. On the day prior to checking out, my daughter (who was away from the hotel) kept checking with the hotel whether a packet (a dress, purchased by her with instructions to the vendor to delivery to the hotel with the room number) has been delivered. Thrice the response was that the hotel had not received any packet for the guest (my daughter). Finally as we were approaching the hotel in the late evening, we spoke to the lobby manager who confirmed that, the same was received by the hotel that day afternoon. Such experiences were not expected from a 5 star hotel.

    If want to rest & relax with family, its a good place. Wind down for relaxation, good massage, family gathering, good choice of Indian Cuisine, Chinese & Itallian. Very near to shoping malls and typicall Indian shopping. Hyatt Chennai always introduce foodfare don't miss it they get the best choice to blend your day. Meet the Chef for your favourite dishes it can be customed made.

  • Hotel with Romantic Rooms

    The Hotel was definitely worth staying. A surely recommended one. When you enter the hotel, one gets disappointed as the lobby appears to be small and not of high standards. But then you are informed that lobby is at a different floor. Once you enter the lobby it is pleasing and grand. Although not the finest one. The welcoming staff at reception and drinks, relieves you of tiredness of travel. We had to leave early morning for Office next day and hearing this, the gesture by the hotel staff to get the breakfast packed shows the caring attitude of the hotel towards the guests. Time for room review . Simple explanation is that the room design is just romantic. It was an open bathroom from where one can see the TV even while in bath tub. The shower room can either be closed or open depending upon your preference. Intermediate partition is partly open with Dressing Glass in between. The breakfast next day was good and at par with good Hotels. The restaurant design was Fantastic and based on themes. Only disappointing thing which I feel was the dressing style of staff. Although I was informed that the colours resemble beehive but it can definitely be better.

  • Good hotel but confusing billing and communication

    I stayed here for 2 nights on business. I had initially made a one night internet booking and found out later on that I needed to stay for 2 nights, so I made a second internet booking. I know this is not the usually way of booking a stay via two reservations, but I made a comment with my bookings and thought the hotel could sort it out. Apparently this is difficult however, but I did manage to stay in the same room for both nights at least. The staff are very friendly and professional. Check in was ok. The room was very large and had an open bathroom. There is plenty of light but the light switches are all over the place. The room itself is clean, but I noticed that the pillowcases are starting to get a bit old. If it was my house, I'm perfectly fine with it, but wouldn't expect that at this level of hotel. Breakfast is quite a good spread with western and Indian choices. Very professional service from the staff here. Wifi usually worked well. I did take their car service one morning since I was late and was stuck in the predicament of only having the old and invalid 500 rupee notes at that time. I didn't realize right at that moment that Uber exists in Chennai which I would happily have taken, but ended up taking their hotel car. But that cost me close to 2000 rupess for a 2 km ride. So I suggest avoiding this unless desperate like me. It is the billing at check out that got really confusing. They incorrectly charged me for meals and also charged me for one of the nights where I had a prepaid rate. It all got sorted out in the end, but it was very confusing and not really well communicated and I was feeling impatient at that time so I was annoyed. I will also mention that I had sent an email to ask a question to the hotel a few days before arrival that went unanswered, so this hotel overall has some miscommunication issues. However, for the hotel itself, it is a perfectly fine place to stay and you can expect some level of service since it is part of the Hyatt hotels (although I find Hyatt hotels overall so-so on value). There is some room for minor improvement, but I think overall I can recommend this hotel.

  • If you stay on weekend nights, try to get a room as far away from the center hall as possible, to avoid the bar/club noise.
