Stayed in this hotel for a couple of days during my business trip to Chennai. Room was clean and spacious. Service was good. Very good location also. The breakfast buffet was good but lacked variety . For a business trip, it was very satisfactory

Clearly hotel has become very active and was bristling with activity. The restaurants were full and many outdoor parties in progress. Staff were very active and alert to customer requirements. No complaints and keep it up .

Great staff!!! Great buffet. Great food and the desserts are to die for. Service is impeccable. Very attentive. The airport is about 25 minutes from the airport and it seems like its a very business group type of business.

Four nights R and R stay at the Park Hyatt Chennai. Arrived at 2 AM after long travel. Happy to splurge for their pickup that was courteous and efficient. Typical high security at large urban Indian hotel. Efficient check in. World of HYATT points stay. For a price we were offered upgrade with breakfast which Would give us a quieter room facing away from the streets. Passed and given a room on the second floor facing the front. With the double pane glass it was very quiet and peaceful. The whole hotel has a Zen like quality. Beautiful contemporary Indian art in large spaces. Service was top-notch. Housekeeping seemed to run a little late except on our next to last day when they came relatively early and outdid themselves. Everything spotless. Good room layout. Contemporary with nods to India and Chennais textile industry. Laptop sized dawer safe would not hold Slr digital camera though. Service at the rooftop pool, which we had virtually for ourselves every day, was efficient but inconsistent/ variable. Some uniformed, some not, some days ubiquitous. Nice gym. Didnt use it. Did have a massage which was very effective... a little pricey for India, especially after taxes and service charge but the overall experience was very good. The whole check in/ check out process at the spa was discombobulated and left a lot to be desired. In mens area there is free steam and sauna, a large whirlpool and a cold plunge pool. Buffet dinner in the dining room restaurant was terrific and choices were very plentiful and high-quality. Service was terrific at all hours and we never waited for another cup of coffee at breakfast! Dined one night at The Flying Elephant. Very good in a unique space. We were actually very surprised how quickly the main courses came out...too quickly! Be aware of the 58% tax on imported liquors and wines in Chennai (and the small standard wine glass pour here). Ouch! Overall a near flawless Points stay at a Category 1 World of HYATT Hotel which was fantastic value. The staff is outstanding and the entire facility well-maintained and taken care of. Location is a bit far relative to tourist sights but Uber works great in Chennai and even transferred us to Mahabalipuram for a fraction of hotel price. Please note that a few items subsequently soured my initial feelings: I was too tired to care but in retrospect trying to sell me an upgrade at 2 AM when I was exhausted, the hotel wasnt full was a bit offputting. All the other (points stay) Hyatts on this trip outdid themselves upgrading accommodation without request. Also, despite expressly indicating I wanted to be billed in INR, they billed my credit card in $US effectively padding the bill. They did not post my World of Hyatt points earned for my incidental expenses . World of Hyatt rectified this, sent them a CC of their response to me and indicated the Park Hyatt Chennai would get in touch with me but they never did.

We stayed 2 nights at the Park Hyatt and it was perfect. My wife loved it, which is the ultimate accolade. The airport pick up was first class and just a short drive to the hotel. Efficient reception and soon to our room which was well designed, modern and a great bathroom with separate bath and shower. Bed linen crisp and bed very comfortable, even better than the Hyatt at Heathrow. We eat in the hotel and the food and service was perfect. We used the infinity pool and sun loungers and were looked after well by a great pool attendant who anticipated our every need. Car back to the airport worked well and we had a great time. Thanks everyone at the Hyatt, you really looked after us!
