Once again I visited the sarovara deluxe rooms in Chennai they maintain the same good maintenance now they have got in to doing business with MakeMyTrip and they informed that they will be attaching with booking.com and trivago also I think they are targeting younger generation which are following the online booking & reviews constantly

A budget hotel in the heart of Chennai, off-Anna Salai road. This is a family owned hotel from Mangalore, Karnataka and so I found them very friendly. Since, I am from Bangalore and have difficulty in speaking Tamil, I find this place and people to be a boon in this city. It is fairly well maintained but cannot be compared to any star hotels in the vicinity. For a simple 1-2 day stay in the heart of the city with a small budget this is a BEST place. You can also get city transport facility maintained by the same family.

Just to provide some context I took a room in this hotel on Dec 01, 2015. I was at the airport that day and missed out on a business visit to China due to the floods. When I came out of the airport I was shocked to see that all roads were closed with floods and all the 5/4 star hotels were booked. When i reached out to this hotel they gave me clear directions to reach the place and even though water had breached into the ground floor they were very courteous to me and gave me a decent room. This was a time when companies were willing to pay a lot to get rooms to accomodate their employees. But at no point did they raise the room fee eventhough managing the rooms was quite difficult at that time. They ensured that we had uninterrupted power and also gave critical status updates on train and flight availability. The rooms themselves were neat and I had no problems in getting a good night sleep. It is a budget hotel that is worth the money spent.

The location and price is excellent. Right off Anna Salai. Rooms are air-conditioned and have LCD TV. The restaurant is also decent but closes by 6PM so do plan your dinner elsewhere. The rooms are smelly. The blankets are worn out. The bathrooms are also basic and hot water supply is limited for a few hours. But what else will you get that that price? Despite the bad points, its a good bargain!
