The place is an okay place to stay. Bed lenin is not very new and the bathrooms are not very clean. The water from the taps is stinky. Yhe only good part of this place is the staff. Very friendly and kind. Would bot recommend for any family

The Hives is perfect for business travel. I was working from SP Infocity and it is a very short walk. The breakfast that is included is delicious and the staff are incredibly helpful. A great price too! Strongly recommend.
A good stay

I stayed at Hives for one year. The Manager and care takers were very good and helpful, the accountant was a bit rude though. I was staying with my wife. For double occupancy they charged Rs. 1250/day. Breakfast was complementary. Per meal did cost about Rs. 150. After 6 months, I changed my room to Asiana building which was equipped with a kitchen where we used to cook ourselves. That did cost Rs. 1500/day. Free wifi, LCD TV, AC, Water heater, refrigerator were included.
Ok place, with ok food and ok price

Visited on business & the first struggle was to figure out the place. Thankfully nowadays GPS has been quite accurate - so reached it more or less without trouble. But the Guest House also helped - by calling beforehand & sending someone on a scooter - to show the way. So from Airport if you are heading to The Hives - do let the cab know that you are going to: MGR Salai, Perungudi -> Behind Apollo Hospital-> Lane opposite to IIFL. Now coming to amenities: - I stayed at a Deluxe Room on 1st floor - It doesn't have mini fridge (as claimed on their current website) - It's an ok, spacious room - with split AC, attached bath, a small balcony, TV, Fan, enough lights Goods: - Room was spacious - Food was ok (e.g. you get roti/rice/sabji/chicken/rasam/curd/bread-omelette/aloo paratha/puri etc.) - Service is very friendly & prompt (this is why I added an extra star to the rating - else it would have been a 2* for me) - Location is nice - as you have many shops/facilities close by, within walking distance (but you are still away from the noises) Bads: - Room did show lack of wear and tear (it appeared to be a quote of paint to hide the true state) - Split AC was leaking water when I checked-in. Though the service guys tried their best - it was till next day afternoon when it got fixed - Room didn't have any waste bin/basket. Had to ask for one. - TV was with set-top box, but the remote was not working. Even the first replacement remote failed to work. Finally they managed a 3rd one - which somehow did the work. - Curtains in the room - they were not at all to any class & frankly - didn't even manage to cover the windows completely - Food options are limited per availability at kitchen e.g. on 2nd night - it was all veg & no option for non-veg (I didn't get non-veg on asking, which is still understandable, but they couldn't provide salad even - not so encouraging) - Breakfast is ok - nothing special. Limited options like - Puri-Sabji or Idli-Sambar etc. - The connectivity (net) is just better than being pathetic. It frequently shows connection error & you need to keep on trying till it works again. - And lastly - while making payment, I had to go from one building to another (where the actual office is). Though it was hardly 5 minutes walk - not a great way to check-out. Overall I liked the willingness of the service team to help. They tried their best to help in every possible way. But overall infrastructure & facilities need a major uplift (btw - it's a 2 storied building with stairs only, so in case you have any aged person traveling - this is not a good option).

I travelled with my family in 2nd week ofAugust. This service apartment is located on OMR. If I have to be precise I would say its, " Home away from Home". Neat and clean rooms, very polite and helpful staff, can speak and understand Hindi, English and local language. So you wont face communication problem. Food is amazing. Charges are nominal. I would definitely recommend to travellers.
The room at Asiana buildiing with kitchen is the one I'd prefer
