I have been to the Raintree Hotel Anna Salai on 2016 and 2017 with my late mother who was treated at the Apollo Cancer hospital. All what I can say is the hotel is so blessed with its staff; theyre so caring, ready to help and they just feel like family. The staff at The Kitchen are unique and they were literally my family on my visit. A clean place, nice food and the atmosphere is just so pleasantly different.
Good Hotel With Some Musical Entertainment
by Paploo1944 on
Stayed one night and found the hotel to be quite satisfactory. Hotel including room was clean. Staff were able to communicate in English. The night we stayed was Friday & in the bar there was music with a couple singing melodious old Bollywood songs, which we found relaxing with a drink.(Music probably in bar only on Friday night). Dinner was a bit of disappointment, we had a fixed menu in which served a speciality regional meal ( advertised as being prepared by authentic chefs ), but unfortunately not to our taste. The waiters were obliging & changed the dessert to our taste. There was classical instrumental music being played in the restaurant which was again relaxing. Breakfast was sumptuous with helpful suggestion by the waiter Shankar Deep Sett. In the room Ruly came & sorted our TV. The front desk Manager Murali I found to be be very polite & understanding. Will stay in this hotel again on our next visit to the city.
Lovely room and a wonderful buffet dinner and breakfast ....except for the music

We spent one night at the Raintree and it is a lovely hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was impeccable and nicely appointed, sparkly clean. I do have three comments which detracted from our stay. 1) the construction noise from the building to the north was bad and went on fairly late into the evening 2) the music in the restaurant was too loud and too noisy. It detracted from the meals. 3) the price I was quoted on the internet was much less than we paid. It seems that there are a lot of +++'s
Nice location, excellent comforts and good food

We booked the Mauve room for a wedding reception at RainTree and the booking process was fairly easy as the banquet manager was very helpful. Food was very good and the hall / facilities were good (being a 5 Star hotel venue) for the relatively higher price we paid for better quality. Thanks to RainTree for making the event comfortable and wonderful. We have a few suggestions and requests a. Due to the situation we all know in the months of March 2020, we had fewer confirmations from guests from within India, and almost none from overseas. We requested the management to reduce the minimum guarantee but it was blindly refused (though they knew the situation very well). b. We requested them not to waste food and so asked them to prepare less and / or at least allow the guests to pack the left over food. However, the banquet manager blindly refused to consider our requests. c. At the end of the event (around 9.30 pm) we once again requested to allow some (not all) of the items to be given to the last few guest in a small container. That was also refused. d. We requested them to give the left over to any orphanage or for the poor people, but that also they could not confirm. It may be their management policy to waste food rather than sharing with guests or pre-arrange with any orphage. This is something the Management of RainTree need to review. We were a bit unhappy at the way this topic was handled with absolutely no focus on CUSTOMER SERVICE or Compassion for the POOR. Lastly, we expected the Banquet manager to meet the person who booked the facility to thank them for the opportunity and take any feedback for improvement. RainTree please wake up to realities.

It is lose to Pondy Bazaar, I use to walk from the hotel to P. Bazaar and to T. Nagar to our relatives. Everything in Raintree Hotel is super. I only miss a close Supermarket. And the food is also very good. the kitchenstaff use to bring me the omelet very fast. I look foreward to come back to The Raintree Hotel, Anna Salai. Thank you (rombo nendri) for a nice stay.
Avoid the rooms on the north side where the new construction is next door.
