We stayed as a family in this hotel in July 2017. We booked a 3 occupancy room. The room was old and stinking. We found a lot of small cockroaches. We switched rooms but it did not help the cause. The new room had zero ventilation. There seems to be a management change in progress. hope the Hotel will be renovated and improved.

I love the restaurant on the Ground Floor - Woodlaands ( similar to Woodlands ). It's vegetarian with lots of dosas etc. There is a meat restaurant too. It's nice that they are separate. The rooms are quite large and there is lots of space to put your things and a table to work from. However the rooms are not as fresh looking as when I stayed a few years ago. Some basic maintenance would improve things - clean the shower heads for example to improve the water flow. Still a good option and the bed was really comfortable - firm mattress. 10 minutes away from the sea and close to the centre of the city.

This is my 2nd staying this hotel. Right now i am in this hotel and i will be checked out after 30 minutes . As i booked through booking.com and got OYO rooms. My room was 204. Not so small room. Bed was clean. Ac was working. Hot water facility also there. Toilet was clean. Decoration of the room could be better as ac side wall got damp. The main purpose of to stay in this hotel is that , it is just opposite of TTDC office. As we went to Tirupathi trip so its easy to go by walk early morning 4.30 am to catch the volvo bus to tirupathi. marina beach you can go by walk.

I stayed in the Hotel from 05th Aug'16-09th Aug'15,but the same is more because of the location which is next to chepauk stadium and Marina beach (within one km)..Staff behaviour is nice but needs to be told what is required..Hospitality is average...Food options in menu are very limited..Breakfast does not have north India food,only south Indian (hence limited option)..Channels in TV is also limited..hence,limitations sorround you in this property..Hence, would stay in the hotel just because it is near to the beach,else only aveage in terms of food and hospotality...Also, one more thing,if you order food in the room,then you will recieve cold food...Be prepared for the same,else go down to their restaurant,which is a pain tn the morning!!!

We are a family of four. We spent December 25 to December 29 at Tri Sea Residency at Chennai. The hotel is purely a regional hotel with major shortcomings. 1. The hotel does not have a modern hot water heating system. It has a very inefficient solar thermal water heating system to which a heater is connected. The solar units are over 7 years old. In room numbers 214 and 215 where we were put up, there was no hot water available. The housekeeping repeatedly told us to run the hot water tap till we get hot water which has to travel through a convoluted piping system. After wasting 4 buckets (20 litre bucket) of water we got one bucket of lukewarm water. We were able to get only I bucket of warm per day. The hotel has 48 AC double rooms. At this rate of water wastage, the monthly wastage is 1,15,200 litres of water on a monthly basis. This is shameful wastage since Chennai faces a deficit of water supply 2. The hotel does not have a modern toilet. The water taps can really be preserved as museum pieces. The flush does not work properly with the result almost one bucket of water has to be pushed in to clear the toilet waste 3. In an adjacent room which has 2 double beds (216), 4 rowdy people had booked who shouted on their mobiles particularly after 11 pm every night we were there. Also, they had visitors from 11 pm to 5 pm who engaged in heavy drinking and shouting making it impossible for us to sleep. Our complaints to the reception bore no results. All in all please avoid this hotel. Go there only if you have no alternative. Arun Chatterjee
