  • worst experience

Simple advice- Never ever stay at this place. We were offered tea with big ants running out from the kettle as it was opened. Bathroom was filthy. stained towel. We left the place within 20 minutes of our check in. Despite being beautiful in landscaping, this place is horrible. A big no.

  • Hopeless Place to Stay

The price we are paying is not at all making justice to the place, though the property is good it is maintained at a zero level. Worst bathroom worst rooms. Pl do not waste your money for this place...

  • Dirty, dirty, dirty .... but pretty location

    by Travellingesther on

Cottages are large, beautifully laid out ... but incredibly dirty. You could write your name well visible in the filth covering the mirror, pictures and on the floor. We had the boy come and clean ... in essence however he only redistributed the dirt in the bathroom. We were happy to have our own bed linens with us, own cutlery and own cup and plate. Food was ok but not outstanding and we did not fall sick. Beware of the monkeys, the Rhesus ones can be aggressive! Staff was not very helpfull - but the people in the village were and there we booked lovely safaris. So all in all it was a great experience despite the accomodation. There are better options in Chikhaldara! We were lucky to be invited by some Amravati Ladies to a beautiful Hotel just before the botanical garden on the left hand side when coming up from the village. If we should visit Chikhaldara again, we'd stay there.

  • Chikhaldhara stay

    by BhaskarSohoni on

We stayed in a two bed cottage which accommodated 4 adults and 3 kids (we were charged for an extra mattress). The cottage has a small verandah. Cottage was freshly painted and very clean. Blankets, linen and towels were fresh. The retreat has a restaurant with room service. Preparations were very good and customized with less spice to suit kids. Brrakfast menu was limited. Each cottage is assigned an attendant who is housekeeping, room service rolled into one. Our attendant Nasim made our stay very comfortable. There is nice open space in the resort and a small amphitheatre where the management had a nice Christmas celebration. There is a high tree machan and a slide for kids. Staff provided a small campfire for the night on request (and for a charge). Resort has 1bed, 2bed, 3 bed and dorm style acco to meet different needs. Overall the resort is great value for money and good place to stay in chikhaldhara.

  • Awesome hotel to stay and it's best option

    by BaljeetsinghC2 on

We were suppose to visit this spot for just fun and we found this hotel. We later on found that this one was best hotel at place and they have got in-hotel restaurant so it was easy for us to manage the breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I would highly recommend every visitors to stay there to enjoy your stay at Chikhaldara.

  • the cottages seem safer, than the luxury thingies made from metal sheet on poles!

  • Ask for the new cottages if you want a modern looking room.

  • Try the new cottages that are built on stilts with balconies facing the trees

by chalakela on November 8, 2014

  • Do advanced bookings as the rooms are always full. Don't expect quick service as they are very low on man power Don't expect food on demand, they take some time in preparing the food
