Lovely property with friendly attentive staff to take care of the family and you.... Nature at it's pristine best..... fresh air, great food and no cell phone reception on property.. what more can one ask for :) Bhadra Tiger Reserve is 64 km or 2 hours drive and we were fortunate enough to view a Tiger in its full glory for 20 minutes

We found the place simply amazing! cut off from the tourist-heavy part of Chikmagalur but still in the cradle of nature. Luxurious cottages overseeing the private lake / paddy fields. Hospitality was the icing on the cake - sumptuous customized food, lovely service personnel - we had a nice time. This place is for those who like to be by themselves or a group of friends / corporates who have can be by themselves. If you are the compulsive traveller who wants a packed day of activities, new tourists spots. This place would not be the ideal choice. Oh and the best part.... no WiFi / hardly any mobile signal - so no calls from office to trouble you.

We traveled to Flameback in August with our 6 year old daughter and 5 month old Retriever pup. We stayed in one of the suites for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are quite large, and well appointed. Bathrooms are big enough, and toiletries are of good quality. The suite has an additional WC, and a jacuzzi in the verandah. The 200 acre coffee estate has a lot of walks, and you can Kayak in the lake. The common area is surrounded by paddy fields and is a great place for a drink or reading a book. Food is ok , not too great but non spicy. Pork curry was pretty decent. Drinks are on the house. We also enjoyed the ayurvedic massages, which are quite reasonable for the standard of resort Service is pretty good and they hardly say no. We are surely going to return again, and can recommend the place for people with children and pets

We had the pleasure of staying with them for 3 nights with our dog. The team there was amazing and the area was breathtaking. The staff continuously asked what our food preferences were and catered the stay fantastically for us. I recommend this to anyone with their friends or family to take a visit. Be prepared for no cellphone or wifi which definitely makes it a relaxing disconnecting stay!

3 luxury villas were available for us friends , and we loved the accommodation. Its nestled in midst of a 150 acre coffee plantation, with some paddy fields and a lake to add to the feel. In the middle of the lodges is a common area used for serving food or just hanging out. It was raining a lot when we went there. But we were lucky to get some sunshine during which we walked across the plantation over the trail that leads to the owners bungalow atop a hill. Beautiful views and greenery all around. The food tends to be average, and one should try to agree on a menu prior hand. Enjoy some good pork curry if available. Overall a nice place to stay for 2 days. The feedback I would give them is to make their lodges more comfortable , especially their beds which are too soft. Extra beds can be asked for but one has to lie on the floor. Two bathrooms are actually one WC and another proper bathroom. The closet/ cupboard is inside the main bathroom and thats quite a pain. Be careful of insects especially red ants and leeches. Wish there would be some basic warning shared. In rains the deck in front of the lodge is useless. Needs an awning so that one may sit outside with a hut cup of steaming coffee and watch the rain pour down over the lake.
