Delightful but needs investment.

We stayed 2 nights in a Heritage room and had a wonderful time. The small number of staff were very attentive and the food was simply delicious (congratulations and thanks to Madhu). We went for a splendid short walk around the plantation and also got to meet up with the ladies harvesting. There were two Indian families staying at the same time who were just delightful company. Our stay was so enjoyable that it is a shame that we have to mention the slightly dilapidated state of the building and its fittings. The bungalow needs some TLC a few Rupees spent on refurbishment would make this a really super place to spend a few days.
Simply Awesome Experience!!!

From the beautiful & spacious bungalow, ethnic yet with all modern amenities, to the very warm staff, we had a wonderful experience. To add to the experience is the very courteous chef Madhu, who prepared whatever we asked for. We had the yummy home cooked food experience...there's nothing he can't cook! The experience was better than any hotel we've stayed in. If you love nature & homely feel, while staying at a place with hotel like amenities...this place is a must, especially like a long weekend getaway!
Amidst coffee plantations and a overwhelming sense of history

We had stayed in this picturesque bungalow for just a night yet this stay was a memorable experience which will forever be etched in our memory. Arabidacool Bungalow was not the first bungalow we stayed in ,but certainly the best. It is located amidst coffee plantations and the access road is an unmetalled road traversing forests and plantations alike. The rooms are humongous and give a heritage feel .The staff were natives of the region and only the chef knew english. They were very courteous and had even prepared a special menu of regional delicacies for us and served a jaggery coffee made of the finest arabica beans. The bungalow has various entertainment options including a badminton court, games room with antique books etc. I would certainly visit this property again.
Jewel in Chikmagalur

We wanted to stay in Coffee Plantation and while there are number of homestay options, We zeroed in on this fabulous Tata property. The right and the best way to reserve this talking to Reservations by calling the Tata Hotels. It is an old colonial style bungalow located in middle of Plantation. The rooms are spacious and it can accommodate four couples. The staff was fantastic took us on tour of the planation. The chef would discuss the type of food we wanted and cooked to perfection. Coffee and tea was always available all the time and hot and tasty. Make sure when you go around you have proper footwear be aware of "LEECHES", they can be tricky customers.
Experience Nature and... Coffee!

Situated in the midst of a coffee plantation, the Arabidacool TATA Coffee Bungalow exudes an old British Raj aura. If you are looking to spend a few days in the midst of nature, in a calm environment, among a handful of people, away from the hustle bustle of the town, then definitely this bungalow is what you should book. Located around 10Km from the Chikmagalur town center, at the foothills of the Baba Budan Giri, Mulayangiri, the TATA coffee bungalow is an ideal place to rejuvenate your soul. You need to climb around 2000ft from the main through the circuitous Mylemoney Coffee Estate to reach the bungalow; the last 1.8Km climb is really scary with hardly any tar road and the width barely for a vehicle. We went there in the month of November and could see 2 to 3 waterfalls with the estate of lush green coffee plants and silver oaks with quite a few wild animals. The Bungalow has 4 rooms, and we had booked 3. It has got all the basic amenities and is maintained by Kumar (in charge), Madhu (the chef) and UncleJi (looks after everything) along with a couple of maids. All of them are extremely helpful, with Madhu serving great meals (specially the Malnad chicken) as per your request, and Kumar also offering a guided tour (approx. an hour) of the coffee plantation, which is would say is a must. Being no maintained by the Taj Gateway group and also the price tag, the rooms should be better maintained than what it is now. But overall definitely an experience that I would recommend.
Reserve using Tata 1-800-xxxx, Be careful of LEECHES in the plantation,

Opt for Heritage Rooms, these are very spacious.

Right side room just next to a living room is a royal room. It is the best one out of 4 rooms available here.

go for room no 2 if you want a spacious bathroom with bath tub, other rooms have smaller bathrooms but a good view.
