This was the first time I have visited a home stay, before going to that place I was a little skeptical about how the place would be, as we are so accustomed to stay in a resort or a hotel. This place is 30 minutes drive from Chikmangalore and the road from Chikmangalore to Yelagudgi homestay makes it so obvious why everyone would love to live in woods. The scenic view awakens your inner vibes and makes you get ready for an exciting trip ahead and the welcome gesture of the home stay people makes you feel like you have visited your family/grand parents home for a summer vacation, everything feels so perfect and comfortable as if you are visiting this place for the 100th time. Padma, she is the one who makes you feel and live in Aww for the time you are at her place. She is just awesome, whenever I talk to her it feels like I'm talking to an old friend of mine or a family member. Every bit of my stay felt like Home, we call a place 'home' when it filled with love. Padma, you are an awesome cook, wonderful human, easy to get along with and you always assist us with a sweet smile. We have stayed there for 2 nights in 2 rooms. One with a balcony view and one without a balcony. When you are little artistic and loves old architecture, then the room with a balcony perfectly goes along. Sunil, this guy made everything beyond beautiful and luxurious. Always on point and always on time and nothing can make him go out of his way in helping us. Lots of love to you, Padma. You made our stay wonderful. Thank you. This is the place which will always stay top on my bucket list.

The house is quite old and has a unique charm to it; it's maintained really well. The surrounding coffee estate is very ideal for long, leisurely walks, and provides a good opportunity to spot various kinds of flora and fauna. The hospitality is really nice and homely and will make one feel very comfortable. The food is delicious, and there's quite a variety of it offered. Moreover, the tea and coffee are a must to be tried! A must-visit if: 1. You'd like to stay away from the hustle and bustle of cities for a while 2. You'd like to spend time in the midst of coffee plantations, keeping all telecommunications away 3. You're a coffee enthusiast and would want to try out some fresh-from-the-plantation coffee and would be interested in knowing about coffee cultivation from the growers themselves. It's not too far from the nearest town (Aldur, ~ 2 km), but far enough to make one feel away from the usual din. Ideal for a bit of a weekend rest.

A well kept property. Clean and neat. They have 4 rooms and an out door badminton facility. We went in a group (four families) and stayed there for two days last month. The surrounding is very peaceful and lush green. What stands out is the tasty food and the very polite service.Food is prepared with a personal touch of owner Mrs.Padmashree. Very tasty and so many verities! Thanks to Mam and her husband for the great hospitality.
