What's Good: Rahi is a Govt hotel run by UP Tourism Deptt. The bath rooms are of old type, with Indian seats which needs to be changed by modern European type seats so that these are convenient for old persons with knee trouble. WIFI is not working. May be some problem with local telecom people. But overall we have enjoyed the stay.

Not different from a government property but rooms were good for the place to stay. Card payment not accepted...What a mockery of digital India in rule of modi and yogi. Disappointed by payment mode and slow speed of staff.
"worth to stay"

On 25th Feb, when I stepped-in for search of appropriate accommodation it was 1.20 AM and I was tired too after a long drive from New Delhi started at 12.15 pm.Since this hotel is situated just at entry of the town I entered and found a man on duty who was warm in welcome, and explained me tariff etc and advised me that if i wish I can try with some other hotels so I took a quick round of this small town but couldnt found any proper place so returned back and checked-in in Room No. 102. Its a Government of UP's tourism Deptt. unit but doing well just like private one. every staff member is full of hospitality.Room and bath room was neat and clean space in room was enough for three. fittings was in working state.A huge area for free parking was also available, over all I enjoyed my stay for two nights here.

On 25th Feb at 1.20 am I stepped in, to get an appropriate accommodation and it was pleasant to see that attendant of night duty was so courteous who not only received me nicely but suggested me alternate places to stay if it looks out of budget and told me further that he will wait for me. After having round of town at almost midnight when i reached back he welcomed me and gave me Room no. 102. Room was quite enough for 3, parking was ample, bath-rooms was quite neat and clean with all fittings in working condition. Access to this was excellent at the entrance of town only. Its a UP Government run unit but nothing was there to give a feeling of that and everything was full of hospitality like private sector competetive hotel unit. I enjoyed my two night stay here.
Gets the basics right

Slightly older staff who have a sense of hospitality and a premises which give you space to sit out in the winter sun or take a walk, this is a spacious option. Most UP hotels gets basics wrong, they are too much on the road, serve too much paneer in lieu of vegetarian options and have issues with basic hygiene or hot water options. This one gets all the right ticks on all of the above. The approach road to the place is a bit of a backbreaker, but that is how it is , when you travel in these parts of Eastern UP.

Front side rooms are better than back side

front side rooms are advisable.

Ask for lawn facing rooms. Remember to mention - bring extra coffee separately, as the milk this side of the land has extra fat.
