Last moment short trip and the great escape to this beautiful well maintained Castle Bijaipur. The royal family of Bijaipur lives here and personally look into the guests comfort and concerns. The property is 25 kms away from Chittorgarh in Rajasthan. Safe even in night if you drive along to the place. The property is a 300 year old heritage castle converted in a resort. They have swimming pool and quite a few activities there. They do not serve food in rooms. The restaurant operates as per the timings. The food is very delicious. The rooms are quite large and make you feel comfortable in a royal setup. Every room has a different set up. The staff is helpful and courteous. The hospitality overall is great. Great place to stay.

A lovely place before chittorgarh about 15 km from the highway. Its a real castle with horses and stables. Has big bedrooms and lots of activities to do like go riding , trekking, bird safari, cycling, trek walks, walk around the village. Has a real royal era feel to the whole place. Food is decent. Wifi is only available in common seating area maybe doesnt come to the rooms due to thick stone walls. Has a 300 year old lord Krishna temple inside in which arti (worshiping) is done every evening. There are lovely seating places on the castle ramparts to see and njoi. My recommendation must try once if u want to be away from the city. A bigger group more fun . The hotel has a camp on a lake about 25 km away that can also be tried or a drive till there . Rooms do not have Tv.If ur a 5 star hotel junkie this place is not for you. Its slow calm quaint place where things happen on its own pace . So go there and Njoi the castle and the peace I loved it .

This place is stunning! With many parts of the castle that remain as old as they were made (and still fully accessible), I was running up and down the staircases, exploring every single corner as much as I could! The rooms opening up to the courtyard in the back, and the rooms along the castle boundary were the most beautiful, but it was the service that elevated the entire experience. The late night bonfire, all the additional activities offered, and the little touches of decor (like the carved old stones artistically placed around the poolside) transformed the stay. Honestly, worth a second visit.

I did a 15 day tour with Intrepid and this was 1 of our heritage stays. This was 1 of the most beautiful and tranquil stays on my tour. The grounds and well maintained, stunning and overall a very peaceful environment. India can be so chaotic that even 1 night here felt like a nice recharge. The pool is beautiful and I was lucky to have dinner there. Food was great and eating by the pool under the stars is very memorable. The only down side is the spa. That was actually a huge disappointment. For India, my massage was expensive and not good. I was also not impressed by the facial. I personally do not recommend the spa, I had a much better massage in Udaipur for wayyyyyyyy less money.

On arrival we were 'drummed aboard' and festooned by marigold lais. Check in was swift and uncomplicated and the room, although quite basic, was clean and comfortable. The place is full of little nooks and crannies where you can sit and have a cup of green tea or a drink from the bar. The food in the evening wasn't great to be honest (a buffet with lukewarm offerings) and the service at breakfast was itself lukewarm. However, I got up early in the morning and was the only person to join KP for 90 minutes of bird-watching during which I saw 51 NEW species of bird. This is an out of the way place to stay but worth it and I would return, as would people I travelled with.
