My two friends and I are from Brisbane and we stayed here in March. We had a wonderful welcome by Pavarti and Sudhir and their beautiful children. They are a very pleasant and happy family. Our room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The rooftop views are expansive and wonderful. We enjoyed our set course dinner and then our breakfast of wonderful molasses pancakes. It is the only accommodation in the village and we were so happy to have researched and found this wonderful place.

We were lucky to be able to stay up in the village inside Chittaurgarh. The hosts were fabulous people who also happened to speak better English than several of the big city guides we'd used. Their affection for their lovingly refurbished haveli was evident, and we enjoyed everything about our stay. The tour of the village and the nearby palace ruins was fascinating, the dinner and breakfast served were great, and the beds were so comfortable! Wonderful place to stay and highly recommended!

Very charming and quaint haveli. Our room was cozy and clean. It is a suit which has a sitting area and if we opened the door and the windows, it was nice and cool to relax in there and do some reading. The hosts were excellent and very helpful. They took very good care of their guests. When we were there, it was the Holi Festival in Chittor. We did not know and tried to change our train tickets to a later time so we could attend the Holi Festival. We had problem making payment since the website did not like US credit card, the hostess used her bank account to pay for us and we just paid her back in cash. The next day, her husband went with us to the Holi Festival celebration to make sure we were ok. We also took the tour lead by the hostess, she was an excellent guide, learned a lot about the fort from her and she showed us some of the beautiful locations in the fort. We had 2 lunches and a dinner at the Haveli. They only offered vegetarian food, very delicious and plenty of food.

Ours was late booking, we were so pleased to be accommodated, and so very glad we were! Parvati and Sudhir are so welcoming and friendly, and we felt at home straight away. Both are qualified guides and speak fluent English and French, and both are extremely knowledgeable, we learned a lot on the guided tours we did, and just chatting! Their lovely children, and the important help, who come in most days, makes one feel a part of the family, not just a guest. The haveli, inside the fort and in the village, has been wonderfully restored. It is very clean and comfortable, and has a library and several sitting areas. The food, breakfast, lunch and dinner, was home cooked and always delicious. Our room, with a fabulous private shower room, was beautiful and spacious, and most importantly the bed was very comfortable with soft pillows. We loved staying here and thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

We loved our 2 night stay at Padmini Haveli and were so glad we decided to include Chittor on our itinerary. The property is beautifully restored with space to relax during the heat of the day and a great sunset view in the evening. Because you're staying in the fort there are no places to eat nearby but that didn't matter at all as the breakfast and dinners were delicious and there was plenty of it. We went on a tour with Parvati who was lovely and then happily spent many more hours wandering round the fort ourselves.
