The hotel is relatively new and is beautifully furnished. High praise for the design team. On our, arrival the staff swung into action and had us in our room without delay, bringing a complimentary bite to eat as we had missed breakfast by minutes, a lovely touch. The hotel room was kept spotlessly clean as was the reception and the restaurant. We had not realised the hotel had a roof top terrace and licensed bar, with a bit more publicity the terrace could become hugely popular among guests. It is a lovely space, a little oasis in a busy city street. Despite the busy road outside and being metres away from the main city road the soundproofing in our room was excellent. We were not disturbed once by traffic noise. Other reviewers have made negative comments about the staff being young. They are young but what they lack in experience they make up by their willingness to learn. They were unfailingly helpful and polite, despite their poor treatment by other guests. All in all we had a wonderful stay at Span International and would definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

We stsyed in this hotel for 4 nights. I couldnt believe there were so clean and staff was so helpful. Location of hotel was near railway and near some shopping centers. Room had sufficient space. They cleaned room everyday.

Im writing this review as I sit at the malabsorption cafe restaurant at the Hyatt an awesome chive when location is secondary. Having stayed at the span for a couple of days recently, and I have to say that it is my new go to hotel when Im not meeting other people or or needing to be more central to the city. Awesome rooms (you wont believe it for the price), great hospitality and great great location away from tourists crowd.

I chose the Span over the bigger well known international hotels because of location to where I had meetings. This is in the old part of town. The tourist area is across the water. I was a little concerned but very pleasantly surprised with the quality of service, the food, the room especially (for the price) and the very friendly staff. I stress, a Western tourist probably wouldn't stay here. Breakfast was Indian, nothing Western. No problem at all but they didn't have a toaster which I found a little odd. That said the restaurant food was really superb. I was asked to pay for my stay when I checked in which was a first. I declined. No issues. And there was a problem booking a taxi to go back to airport. Apart from that..good room, modern, clean. I went for a long walk, once it had stopped raining. This part of Cochin is a working town. Expect that if you stay here.

Hotel Span international wins over because of its location. -Close to mall, shopping area, dining options, medical facilities and easily accessible by road or metro. -The property is clean and well maintained except the drainage in the hotel room that we got to stay. The water in the shower area takes time to drain. However, the housekeeping staff is readily available to assist with the same. -The hotel room was exactly as shown in the pictures. The amenities provided were of good quality too. -The breakfast options are limited but healthy and mostly vegetarian. Additional request for a variety of te/coffee were taken care. -Staff is courteous, helpful and polite. The only thing I would recommend is to work on their uniform and footwear. As it looked worn out. -It is a good hotel for friends, family, couples, corporates. Value and quality worth the money spent.
