We stayed here on our trip to Kerala. Located near the waterfront in the old part of Cochin this is quaint colonial style hotel. We stayed in one of the garden rooms opening on to the garden and swimming pool area. The room was spacious with a good sized en suite shower and very comfortable bed. The restaurant offered a good selection of mainly Indian food and were able to adapt where necessary for gluten intolerance. When the weather is dry, they have space to eat outside in the garages. The pool is a good size and there are loungers to relax in. They can also arrange massages if required. Staff were all very friendly and helpful particularly when we had to delay our departure by a few hours. Overall happy to recommend this hotel if staying in Cochin.

This is a lovely hotel full of character in the most interesting part of Cochin. Check-in was fast and efficient and the room was large and comfortable and the air-conditioning was effective. Wi-Fi was not available in the rooms, but was available in the public areas. In fact the best signal and best service was in the open gallery that runs around the inside of the building above the reception area. However, since this area is open and non air-conditioned (and the effective temperature during our visit was around 43 degrees), it gets a bit sweaty. So, it is good that the service in that location is fast. There is a pool and complimentary yoga classes early In the morning. The surrounding area of old Cochin is full of interest. Some is within walking distance (eg the Chinese fishing nets) and some is best reached by a short car drive (eg the splendid museum). There are market areas close to the hotel and an open area in front of the hotel. We walked around this in the evening that we arrived and saw a rather chubby rat cleaning its paws in the middle of a pathway near a food stall . Ignoring passers-by.this was a quaint encounter, rather than an alarming one. Breakfast at the hotel and dinner was fine.

The old harbour hotel is a beautiful hotel with charming rooms and gardens. The staff were amazing, the hotel has taken great care to meet travellers needs. The restaurant served delicious meals. The hotel is well located. We loved our stay in the hotel and in Kochi. We would highly recommend this hotel to people looking for a boutique property with great character and charm.

Beautiful place but totally overpriced. There is no justification for such a high rate other than having the Small luxury hotels of the worldmembership plaque nailed on their walls.... The menu at their restaurant has not been changed for several months and one is wondering what is going on in the kitchen.... Table service is haphazard at best and non existant when busy

My wife and I plus my brother and his wife had a three-night stay at the Old Harbour Hotel at the end of September. We were royally treated by friendly and attentive staff, and were very comfortably accommodated. The hotel is conveniently located on the shores of the estuary, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops and the like. No hesitation in recommending the hotel to anyone looking to be pampered towards the end of an arduous sight-seeing tour of India e.g. Rajasthan with wall-to-wall palaces and forts.
